Hi! I’m opening a pole studio and am seeking pole mounting advice. Our ceiling trusses are to o small to use a box truss. I’ve seen studios that have a beam that goes from truss to truss where they mount the pole. Anyone know what this is? Any studio owners out there have similar ceilings to mine?

I don’t have any suggestions but hopefully someone else will. I know I’ve seen poles installed in placed with ceiling like that but can’t think of who’s studio it was.

Here’s what some people told me on my FB page when I asked for you.

Actually my studio does ! Our permanent mounting plates are from the 2015 standard made by x pole . I’ve tried finding mounting plates on their website recently and it’s really hard to find certain products by them anymore. I’m guessing they do a better job making 45mm portable xpert poles and it’s probably cheaper to manufacture. Anyway..the permanent mount has 4 pilot holes that can be bolted through the flange of the bottom of the truss . The mount has to be the same width or smaller than the truss, and a professional will need to drill mirroring holes through the flange where the plate meets. Bolts are secured with nuts and washers of course but you can add a special epoxy glue called “locktite” to the nut to over engineer it. Also to add, it will NOT affect the structural integrity of the truss system, in fact it will enforce it. Not only will the roof have support horizontally, the poles add an extra sexy-fun vertical structural support .
