They have showcased pole away in the past but it has not hit the market yet.  That system looks cool.

There are a few studios in the UK with Pole-Away.
I have the non-swivel permanent mounts.

For home purposes I would totally do a system like that to pop my x up and down plus I remember reading here that the xpole doesn’t need as much tension with the vaulted mount so it spins more freely which would be nice.

Ladies and Gentlemen X-Pole felt, following the discussions on SV that it was time to make a formal comment on our new products. There will be a proper press release shortly the link for which we will post on Veena.

So, until then X-Pole are Proud to announce the addition of 2 New pole finishes – Powder Coated and Silicone (Chinese Style)  to to our already extensive range of poles – in fact the largest range of pole products in the World.

Powder Coated Poles (PD Range) – After extensive testing, over nearly a year, X-Pole are releasing Powder coated poles in ALL sizes 40, 45 and 50mm (1.5", 1.75" and 2") and ALL types – Standard XS (Sport) and XX (Xpert) sets,  as well as Studio and Competition ranges (Build-a-Pole).

Initial colors will be Hot Pink and Black.

The surface finish is very grippy but has a smooth texture (not rippled or peeled) which everyone who used them during testing really liked.

PD Poles will be available mid-Summer.

Silicone Poles (SN Range) Ready to Go  – X-Pole 1st  – With the growing interest in Chinese pole – great for poling with your clothes on, unbelievable grip etc. – X-Pole are excited to introduce to the pole and aerial market the first purpose designed, cost effective range, of Chinese poles.

Using Extremely high grade Silicone (specially produced for X-Pole), the SN range will be offered in 40mm / 50mm (1.5”/ 2”) and 45/55mm (1.75”/“2.25”) sizes.

Important: The SN range does use a Silicone material but it is a completely different specification to the silicone used on the X-Pole bases and domes –  it is a very Hi-Grade Silicone composition similar to those used for the food and medical industries.

Sizing – when you take a 40mm (1.5”) pole and add the Silicone covering it adds approximately 8~10mm (0.2” ~ .04”) to the diameter (+/- ¼” per side) and so a 40mm (1.5”) pole becomes 50mm (2”) that is why at the moment the poles being currently being described as 40/50mm and 45/55mm.

Again SN poles will be offered in Hot Pink and Black colors and available as Sets or as Studio/Competition pole tubes (Build-a-Pole).

With X-Poles the silicone is permanently fixed to the pole tubes – it is not removable – so it is immediately usable. If you already own an X-Pole you can just buy additional pole tubes (maybe you will want to upgrade to Competition Dual lined poles for stiffness) and use your current other parts – making the use and purchase of a Chinese X-Pole Very cost effective. We expect the pole tubes (already silicone covered) for a standard set will be around $100. Pricing will be released at the end of May. We will do our very best to keep it as low as possible.

Delivery is expected around late summer, earlier if if we can – again we will do our very best to get them to market asap!!!

    PoleAway  – Another X-Pole 1st

Pole Away, X-Poles superb system for putting poles away without removing them, is on sale in USA and Europe – depending on stock – and has been a great hit with the studios that have installed it. Being able to clear down a 10 pole studio in minutes really maximises the floor space revenue as well as being able to quickly bring poles back into action in seconds. In homes where poles need to go away quickly and take up zero space against the ceiling is ideal!

As advised by an SV member using PoleAway also means less tension can be used but as that is the case, it is mandatory to use the Competition Pin base (another X-Pole 1st) so there is no chance of a pole slipping due to the reduced pressure.

All that is required is a 6.5mm (1/4”) hole in the floor. They are hardly noticeable – we have 11 holes in the beautiful Oak floor at the X-Pole Development Studio and we have to look for them!!. One key point to PoleAway is that even if a pole does slip at the bottom due to reduced pressure,  it Cannot fall as it is locked into, and held in place by, the mount.

Over the next few weeks all the X-Pole Spring/Summer 2013 new products  – including Powder Coated and Silicone poles, A-Frames, Mounts, Hoops and there’s lots more exciting stuff to come!! – will all be officially released and detailed information and specifications will be available.

Please be patient and we will get the information out and the new products to market just as soon as we can.

If anyone in the USA wants verbal confirmation of what the new products are like then Lindsey at the US X-Pole office and the lovely Allison Sipes were both part of our Superb FIBO demo team and have hands on experience of the new products and can personally tell you their impressions of our new items – they used them non-stop for 4 days.

Keep watching the X-Pole Web Sites and we will also update SV with new product releases as they take place.

Come to the X-Pole development center in North London and play on them all at your leisure!!! Then choose!!! Bring some friends with you as well.

The center is open occasionally now but should be fully open every day from end of June/Mid July, it will then have all the new products to play on/with!!!

If you have a current X-Pole or X-Stage bring it with you and we will service it for you while you play!!
