  planning a showcase

  Long story short I have found myself in the position of attempting to plan my first pole dance showcase. Ideas? tips? thoughts?
  To be honest I’m not even sure where to start…lol

  That is to be determined but probably aiming for May 2016.

  Hadn’t thought much about doing a theme. I know some shows do pick a theme but none of the shows I have been to as a performer or otherwise had one. I guess it’s another thing to think about.
  I hope the show will have some pole dance performers and maybe some acro yoga too. Anything goes if you want to get up in front of others and show off some skills!

  This may sound lame, but maybe pick a song, see if the song inspires you to visualize a color, a character, a feeling, then add on to that. Like a costume, a scarf, a prop perhaps. Watch other pole performances to see what you liked and do your interpretation of that idea. Maybe video tape yourself to a possible performance song, then watch your performance and see what you thoughts come to your mind and build on that. Good luck.
