Hey guys! Are any of you interested in learning how to float and flow around the pole? If so, it’s time to stop doom scrolling, wasting hours saving tons of clips on social media, and start watching full-length pole dancing videos.

I see a lot of perplexed pole dancers online saying they can’t flow, they don’t know where to start, or they fear they’ll never be able to dance to a whole song. I’m gonna tell you a secret. We all know if you want to improve, you need to practice over and over, because practice makes progress. But did you know that there are two more tools you can add to your training, and no pole is needed!

Here’s the secret. If you take time to visualize and observe full-length performances and practices, you’ll learn faster than just trying to learn choreography. Yup, it’s true!

Our brains are very powerful, and many athletes use visualization as part of their training toolkit. This article explains more and has some tips to get you started. I also have a lovely free video you can use for your pole visualization practice, I hope you like it.

In addition to visualization, there’s another wonderful way to learn without physically doing it: it’s the act of watching others. This is called Active Observation, and it’s how I learned to dance/move. Back in the day I watched tons of So You Think You can Dance and Dancing with the Stars! This article provides more insight, and even though the target audience is young people its a good read for all ages.

Now, if you’re thinking that’s great, but most of what’s popular online is just clips and tutorials. You know I’ve got you! If you’re looking to watch full-length pole dance videos, I have a large collection on my YouTube channel.

You’ll find two playlists to choose from:

    1. Full length pole dances and freestyles – This list is comprised of mostly practice sessions, and they’re unedited. Some of the videos I planned on sharing others are more spontaneous. There are 85 and counting! Here’s the link for this playlist.
    2. Veena Productions – This list has all of my creatively edited pole videos where I’ve done the planning, filming, and editing all myself, so I’m pretty proud of them. There are 8 videos. Here’s the link for this playlist.

In conclusion, I hope you now understand how using tools like Visualization and Active Observation are additional ways to maintain your pole training without needing access to a pole! For example, if you’re traveling, injured, not feeling well, or maybe you’re preparing to perform or compete. These tools can help you stay on track or even excel without ever touching a pole. Pretty cool, right?

If you’re looking for a physical practice in flow and movement here are some links.

P.S. I’m working on a new class. It’s a flow and movement class, and I’d love to hear if you have any requests or questions you’d like answered before I film. Keep in mind this will be a class found in my Veena’s classroom, so I’ll be moving and grooving along with you!
