    Hello everyone!

It’s been 3 weeks since I’ve got the idea to try pole dancing and I was weighing between going to a pole dance studio and learning at home. Conveniently, there was a pole initiation lesson last Sunday at the nearest pole studio (25min commute still). The studio was absolutely praised in the Google reviews and the vibes seemed really good. So I went, thinking it was a shame the studio was not closer to me and the cost was so high.

Well, how disappointing it was. We did a good warmup but then, there was so many moves shown in the span of an hour, I did not have the time to really learn and feel satisfied with anything. Also, we were 18 women/girls for 1 teacher and it seemed the teacher was more helping with those doing good, helping them perfecting their moves instead of helping those having a hardest time (can you guess I was part of the second category :D). Also, I have very sweaty hands and the girl I paired with on the pole too. So we spent 70% of the time sliding like slugs and achieving nothing. The teacher gave us grip aid only at the middle of the “lesson” and none after that (and I presume it was not specifically designed for sweaty hands because my hands became sweaty quite quickly again). So I decided to go the online lessons route, because every aspect now seem better to me, especially with Veena’s approach and philosophy to the activity, I feel very supported watching the videos.

So yeah, I’m doing the 30-day no pole program waiting for my pole to arrive and it feels great. I’m really happy to start this journey alongside all of you <3

Hello! I’m sorry you had a negative experience with the studio, but I’m so happy you found me! The Discussions are pretty quiet these days, but the tutorial side is full of people learning and growing everyday. If you even have a question or need help finding something feel free to leave a comment on any tutorial and I’ll help you out ASAP, or if you would like feedback or more clarification on something use the “Ask Veena” button place below every tutorial. This sends me a direct message and then we can chat and share video and photo with each other.

It’s great to meet you and I hope you enjoy your time here.
