  bruises on my ankle

  Hello,
  I tried to do pole climb yesterday and i got a lot of bruises of my ankle and feet. Is this suppose to happen? Maybe I’m not doing it right??

  are you new to pole? yes, some bruising is normal and expected. it will get less as you build strength and are more efficient at climbing. I bruise like crazy! 🙁 it got better over time but tends to be worse if I take advil for cramps, or a headache. you can try ice after practice. some say to use arnica too. personally arnica does nothing for me but other’s swear by it. everything will get bruised as you are starting pole.

  Yes its normal. I bruise more since I’ve had the baby. Arnica gel helps a little with the bruising and I’ve heard Espom salt helps though I haven’t tried it yet.
