I have an “interview” this weekend at a pole studio in my city to teach/assist classes. I will be doing a routine to showcase my skills. Im really excited. its short notice so i will be writing down some moves/combos/floorwork and freestyling with those moves. ANY TIPS?

p.s. i finally got a HEALTHY invert lol. No jumping/kicking etc. just tuck, lean back and hook or upside down crucifix. Im not to advanced yet.

Make sure that their teaching styles and your own mesh well. Make sure you enjoy teaching. I know it sounds odd but in some environments teaching doesn’t give you the opportunity to grow only to teach others. Make sure you don’t out your own pole journey on hold to fill their need. Make sure it also fills a need for yourself. When you stop enjoying it back off and concentrate on why you love pole and what you want to learn. I guess I just want you to remember your own journey along the way and not put it on hold just to help others with theirs because you might lose you way altogether. It didn’t happen to me when I was teaching. I loved it but I know it ruined pole for some other instructors I know so I just wanted to caution you because I know the thought of sharing pole this way can be so exciting that you can forget all about what you want to learn while you’re thinking about everything you want teach others. 🙂 Good luck!

@feliciajean186018 yes, I want to be able to teach by steps, the way i learned. the correct way. Actually conditioning your body, and learning progressively.
