    That might be a typo on the web page. Call X Pole in your area to discuss your needs. Here is the vaulted mount from their US site and it says for vaulted ceilings only.

    I think its semantic.  Flat does not mean level.  My guess is it refers to the fact that you still should only apply this to standard ceilings.  A tin ceiling for example will still be ruined by this, also a ceiling that is not "true" could still bend your pole as you tighten it and attempt to have it straight.

    Ooooooh that is a good point Webmaster, as in if the ceiling slopes it is still 'flat' but the ceiling is not 'level'….Hmmmm maybe, thanks 🙂
