Hey Joni, we have brass poles at the studio and I Wasn’t quite sure how to clean them either.

I was suggested to use Brasso but then to wash the pole with dish liquid and water to get it grippy again.

I am not sure how water reacts with brass because I would worry about it tarnishing, but I use straight up alcohol or acetone (wouldn’t want to use this on brass) on my chrome and stainless poles.

I use Dawn dish liquid to wash my hands and my poles.

What every you do..don’t use window cleaner! The ammonia in it will cause your pole to oxidize (tarnish and rub off blue on your hands). You should be fine if you want to mix your alcohol with water…it won’t tarnish it!

yeah.but I don’t because it leaves a film on my pole…kinda like when you do windows or a mirror and there are streaks…it’s film…but everyone has different preferences… https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_biggrin.gif

I’m a proffesional nail tech and I use 99% isopropal alchol to remove dirt and oil from the nail plate to make polish stick. I do the same with my pole wont tarnish as I use on my nippers and tools, and will sanatize it as well https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_smile.gif
