-
My pole goals for 2014 are Ayesha, Jacknife, Handspring & Cartwheel mounts and Iron X! Working toward getting these all by April or before!!!
Also, combo and transition fluidity and spin mode poling (It’s time to get serious!) before the end of the 2014 🙂
-
Oh I love this..There are some great goals on here! Let’s see, definitely most definitely Rainbow Marchenko! My mind just wont connect with my body on that one. Cartwheel mount or handspring Im not picky 😉 And of course what I imagine every poler wants…IRON X! I hope we do an end of the year recap on this topic. 🙂

I would love to be more fluid during dance and combos! I am always over-analyzing everything and it is very apparent when I watch videos of myself. Other than that, I really want to get the Phoenix, get my Jade super-flat, and be able to touch my toes to my head (back flexibility). Yay for awesomeness in 2014!

I just started a couple months ago and LOVEE it! I’m almost 42 tho and have tendonitis in my wrists and shoulders w a lil arthritis ( I’ve been doing hair for over 20 years ),. It takes more classes and work to get my upper body back to shape…my goal right now is to master the invert and the climb 🙂 may take a lil longer then the younger girls but I’m determined! I got my own pole also can’t wait to get it up and spinning! Hope everyone has a fun and safe New Years 🙂

2014 Short Term: Icarus, and cleaning up my cartwheel and shoulder mount. I’m close to getting the icarus, but it is killing me that I’m not there yet..
2014 Longer Term: Split Grip Ayesha (outside of cartwheel mount), Split Grip Aerial Walk, Reverse Grab+Phoenix
Back Flexibility and Middle Splits are on the wishlist too! -
Did my 2014 goal blog post. http://wp.me/p3Wa2U-5W
Stronger more flexible like many of you here. I should have also added ‘let go and give it some’. I over think things and it holds me back so I need to let go and just go for it more.

My Goals for 2014 are definitely to get more flexible and not overthink everything all the time.
I want to focus on the new levels I signed up for but also to get better with the spins and tricks from the lower levels.
Particular … to get a solid:
Butterfly (and further Flatline/Scorpio transition)
Gemini/Scorpio Transition wo/ hands
Caterpillar (and Caterpillar climb)
Finally manage to get into:
Superman
Jade
And last but not least and most important: conquer the Shouldermount 🙂Goals in general for pole dancing:
More practice at home (Get into a solid pole workout-routine, more freestyle and hopefully choreograph one or two routines to my favorite songs)
Videotaping myself more oftenSo hope I manage … keep your fingers cross 🙂
-
I hope to refine all the moves I have to combine with dance and flow. I have many in isolation but cannot include them smoothly in dance.
On going goal to improve strength and flexibility
Lastly attend Pole Expo in Las Vegas -
I want to work on getting back to where I was before baby and then from there work on flexibility, core strength, and handstand. I think improving my handstand will help in body control.
-
I’ve had a tough few months, caught in a plateau so for starters:
*I hope to get back to poling consistently, even when I don’t feel like I’m making any leaps and bounds.
*Would like to get a solid front split on my non-dom side and square out my hips in my front split on my dominant side then start training for over-splits!
*Flatten my middle and straddle splits.
*Handstands! I’m really scared of handstanding (even with the wall, I hate kicking up!) although I think I’m strong enough for it. So I hope to overcome that!
* Nail various split grip moves, Ayesha…etc.
* Find a solution for my sweaty palms/consequent grip issues!
* Completely straighten my free leg in cocoon.
*Rainbow Marchenko (my DREAM pole move!!!) -
Oh! And choreograph a whole routine, I’ve only ever free danced.
-
I want to pole as much as I can and also work on caterpillar and start with the hand spring. Just to be more comfortable higher up the pole and inverted
-
I just want to climb the pole…I can get that first lift but nothing after that…
-
Bigbaby I have bad shoulders and my instructor told me to get the mighty grip gloves and ankle guards until I build up. They help me a lot.
-
Smooth invert and aerial invert without having to work up my nerve. 🙂
-
My main one is not to have grip problems in my 2nd amateur pole comp! I never know what to set as goals – there are so many moves I want to try.
I would like to get a completely flat front split (I’ve been close to the ground (probably about 2″ for ages), and improve my middle splits (which are way off – but improving) -
I just want to get back on the pole and stick with it long enough to gain my confidence and my sexy back!!
I always let life get in the way but for 2014 i am going to make sure that doesnt happen!! -
My goals in 2014 is to build up my strength, get control of my grip, doing inverts increasing flexibilty and getting an overal control of my body, and practing and practing until I get it just like I picture me having it in my head!!
-
Increase flexibility, work on my middle & right splits, freestyle on a regular basis and get comfortable with dancing more. Also, straight leg inverts and dead lifting into headstands and handstands. I have a lot of work to do. Lol.

i am so happy that i can say that i was able to accomplish almost all of my goals from 2013. this year i hope for the same result! i will be updating my profile so right on my description i will see what i am working towards every day and not forget or loose focus. but on to the goals!! i will break it down by catigory
flexi:
flat middle splits, flat knee down straight splits, increase back flexibility to be able to do cocoon by 2014, stay committed to yoga challenges every day to keep balance and calmness in my day to day life.
tricks:
tricks are a hard one for me to narrow in on. what i really want from my tricks is to find comfort in the moves i know, and perfect them. gain enough skin tolerance on my legs to have more success in transitions and combinations. keep working on gaining strength and control on entrances and exits. im not looking to be able to do 100 different tricks. but to be able to do the ones i konw properly and with more ease..
stands and floor work:
basically the same. with gaining flexibility my floor work will improve. i really want to get a freestanding hand stand and elbow stand. and floating V i know i can get properly with increase flexibility.
as an overall want this year. is to build a routine, start to finish fully choreographed.i dont know if i am biting off more then i can chew. but i think i will feel success at the end of the year by focusing on an overall improvement this year. and getting more detail oriented.
wishing you all the best on your goals and achievements this year!
much love!

My goals are to invert (floor, not aerial), kick up into a handstand, and stop being so dang scared of being upsidedown (it is causing a block in my progress right now)
