I wanna do those , I can’t figure it out well enough on my own by watching the vids how it is done. It is really interesting but also its done with a lot of control! Just giving a shout out!…and wishing for some pointers https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_exclaim.gif

I know the YouTube channel you speak of and I am familiar with the leg transitions and heel clicks on the floor. It seems to me like the girls do a lot of circling with the legs bent. I teach this in some of my pole 1 classes and call the leg circling "can can kicks." The way I teach the leg circling is to lie on your back with both legs straight up in the air, together. Keeping one leg completely straight, bend the other at the knee and start to draw a circle with the foot, inward. Straighten the leg after a circle or two, and then switch legs and circle again with the other. Your right leg will circle counter clock wise and your left leg will circle clockwise. I always circle the legs inward. You can circle them outward, but for me it’s a little more difficult and not as natural. As far as the heel clicks go, I spoke with a stripper in class about it once, and she told me the reason she does it a lot is because of the noise, and how when she’s in the club dancing, it will immediately bring attention to her on stage from people around the club. It can be a startling noise, so it gets people to look at her when she does it. It made sense to me, although it seems as if the girls Webstwe and Luckygirl do it as part of their style and flair. I hope my explanation helped some!!

    Love Gator’s explanation!
We call these "porn taps," and we also were taught that girls on stage do these to get attention.
Webstwe and Luckygirl dance at Brassy Butterfly in Portland, where my good friend Freya is one of the owners. I don’t know if they’re on here. coco_coquette is on here for sure, and she’s one of the other owners.

..Couldn’t find luckygirl, but I love the.. noisy heel taps. I figured they were strippuh-style, since they’re so sexy.

Anyone want to link me to luckygirl profile?

I love webstwe’s videos! Another good youtube profile to check out, is corbyoconner (http://www.youtube.com/user/corbyOconnor). She also takes lessons at the Brassy Butterfly and is a really good dancer. One of my favorite pole dancers works there as an instructer, Starrgrrrl (http://www.youtube.com/starrgrrrl). I took lessons from her when when I flew out there to visit Portland. While I was visiting, we stopped in at a strip club and I noticed that the girls on stage would clack their heels every so often. I thought it was so cool, and it did grab my attention! I thought it was just a Portland area thing, but I guess it is something that a lot of dancers do.

I don’t have luckygirl’s whole name but it involves numbers. I know she vid texts on webstwe’s videos and so there should be a link to her there. Her first one was to ( kiss me through the phone ) I think that I noticed and then lost it until I my you tubes favs were out , I found her and started doing the subscriptions and shes there. It sucks when I want to go on youtube. My windows/web account thinks I am a child and I have to log onto my husbands everytime.

Thanks for the advice gatorgirl and I knew of you too on youtube! very awesome!

I was working and hearing the new snoop song on the radio a few weeks ago… gangsta love? …" running at me like click clack", I was secretly enjoying that LOL . I love catching all the pole dancer and stripper references in songs.

Wow! That is so nice of you guys! (Very flattering). I don’t usually chat on here but this one was called to my attention. https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_biggrin.gif The "leg work" on the floor that you are referring to is pretty much all luckygirl. She’ll have us work on that stuff in class because naturally we all want to learn how she does that. It is hard to explain some of it without doing it in person… you all should come out to Portland, OR sometime! https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_wink.gif GatorGirl4Life’s explanation for the "pendulums" is totally right. Our personal preference is for the legs to start straight, but crossed at the knee so that the knees make one visual point. That way it looks like one is swinging from the other as if your knees were the hinge.

The heel smacking is just fun (and addicting) and came about from some reconacence work we did. We went out to some some strip clubs and saw some girls get mad when no one was paying attention. One girl though held a handstand for what seemed like a full minute and then slammed them down so hard during some really fast heavy metal. It was really, really cool! I heard it was an Oregon strip club thing but they might do it everywhere, I don’t know. It is definitely done for attention in the clubs. It’s a fun way to play with the beat of the song. Easily overdone though. Sometimes you can’t help it. https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_biggrin.gif

CorbyOconner IS awesome! Sadly she moved to Hawaii and we don’t see her much anymore. She’s gained some crazy aerial silks skills while she’s been away! I used to take from StarrGrrrl at her previous studio. She’s awesome too!

We always wanted to make the dancing look smooth and sensual like a lot exotic dancers do. We are really glad to see that it is, at least somewhat, coming across that way! https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_biggrin.gif
