    Hi all
Had a particularly good pole session on Saturday afternoon; the pole was nice and grippy and moves just worked… So I probably over did it as my upper right arm started aching and hurting. It felt like I had had an injection say, arm was pounding with a ‘heavy’ pain. Very odd.

Still got it today three days in albeit not quite so badly… I know I should just take it easy and avoid the pole – which I will – but have you lovely people had this happening to you as well?

(maybe when the moling feeling dies away I’ll have a massive muscle! https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_albino.gif )

I got a pain in the back of my upper arm a couple of weeks ago, where my tricep is. I don’t know if it was the pain you are describing though. Mine twinged when I lifted myself up on to the pole, quite painful, as if the muscle was torn or something? Then afterwards it would ache. I pushed through for a couple of days, then finally gave in and rested it for a few days. Now I try to stick to leaving one day between practices, and I haven’t had the same problem. But then again i’m a beginner, so I don’t know if it was just because of that!

Ice, take an anti inflammatory, REST and if it feels good do some LIGHT stretching. Upper arm is pretty broad so its hard to say what is up, but you can’t go wrong with rest, its fine to go about your daily tasks if it doesn’t make it feel worse. Sometimes not using it at all can be counter productive. https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_viking.gif

Hi I have a similar problem. I usaually don’t feel it until I do RGs. I’m not sure if it’s because I’m not use to using those muscles or I’m doin the move improperly. I’ll not be doing spins for a while but I’ll be working on my holds and inverts because those don’t bother my shoulders. https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_cheers.gif

Yeah too much poling can take its toll on the body I suppose https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_smile.gif It’s just too much fun!
