Oooooh, will have to check the diary and train costs as I’m in Notts. but would be good to go
-
Hey guys!! So is anyone else up for coming to this event?? If so follow the link above so that the studio knows numbers. Very excited!!
-
Becky, i'm defo going to do at least one of the workshops, but I've no idea which one would be most beneficial to me or indeed what level i'm working at. Do you know what sort of things each w/shop will be covering? I'd love to do both but don't want to take a space away from your regular students.
-
Nichtooks- I just messaged Dan on Facebook and he said the beginners class is mainly for people who aren’t ready to invert yet and focusses on more basic spins and transitions.
I described the moves I need help with (handsprings and maybe some advanced combos) n he reckoned the int/adv class would be more beneficial and I think you’re more advanced than me so its probably even more beneficial for you (from what i remember of your vids you’re stronger and more flexy lol) if that helps you decide?
-
Ah, thanks Debss, that's really helpful. I wasn't sure if the advanced one would be too advanced, but if we're around the same level then that'll be cool! Will defo do that now.
I'm still tempted to do the beginner one too though, just so's I know i've got a good foundation and for more ideas. Only ever had a few beginner lessons so I must be missing vital knowledge! Can't wait! 😀
-
I'd do the beginner one too if I could afford it lol! I could do with polishing up my basics but I want to be challenged (I may regret saying that!) and I'm in need of some help on a few more advanced things 🙂
I'm really excited but nervous too! I've only ever been on the studio poles and my home pole (all 45mm chrome), and at home I have no grip! Hopefully I'll be able to stick to poles at Blush!
-
Becky are there any places left on the int/adv class with Dan? I'd really like to come if so! I can pay you in advance if you'd like 🙂 fingers crossed!
-
Hazelnut I've just paid online for the workshops so I guess there are still places left.
Here's the link I used:

-
Aww so you definitely can't make it Lizzie? I'm sure there'll be more in the future
I think I'll book in tonight 🙂
Need to sort out train tickets and accommodation too, I keep squealing with excitement (and I'm not normally a squeally person :P).Anybody got any ideas on where would be best to stay? I'm going to have to save the pennies for this weekend lol
-
Debss, i'm in the army so can sometimes get cheaper rooms in hotels. Will have a gander later on and see if there's available nearby and will let you know prices etc.
Lizzie, can you make the jam on the sunday? We'll 'demonstrate' everything we learnt the previous day for you (she says in a hopeful voice!)
Whoop Whoop!
-
Hmm Becky – could you please repost the link for booking dan's workshop? i've been trying and trying and either it's died on me or my stupid computer has decided to stop working! thanks sorry for the hassle!! i can't seem to get on it at all.
-
Hazelnut – if you go to this page http://www.blushdance.com/index.php?Itemid=30&option=com_registrationpro&view=events and click on Pole Jam the booking links are there 🙂
Are you planning on doing both classes? -
yippee!!!!!!!!!!
Just booked the intermediate/advanced class with Dan. Looks awesome I'm super excited!
Debss: I'd love to do both but just can't afford it…. but the adv class AND the pole jam will probably be more than enough to get me nice and bruised for awhile! looking forward to meeting you all 😀
-
I missed this thread until now, somehow! So glad I spotted it now, and not on the 20th November or something equally frustrating. 🙂
I skim read the thread, is there still likely to be some aerial equipment too?
-
Will we see you there then Miraine :D?
Hazel: I'm just doing the advanced one too, so excited/nervous! I can already feel the bruising and soreness just thinking about it lol!
-
I certainly hope so 🙂 I'm very out of practise with pole, but hopefully this will be an incentive to get practising again!
-
Really gutted I can’t come to this. Would love to meet some veeners!! Just wanted to quickly say not to be nervous! Everyone at blush is so lovely and very welcoming! And a mixed range of abilities so you dont have to worry bout that either. Hope you all have a great time and hopefully they’ll b another one!! 🙂 xxxx

Hey sorry not been on for a bit but seems Dan and the fab hazel hotpants have sorted you guys out on how to get on at blush workshops, we do workshops here fairly often for guest people (about once per quarter) and we always do jams every month (last sunday usually) YES to aerial equipment, will prob be mostly aerial swings but if you have a two pointed hoop we can hang it so feel free to bring. We dofull weeks of specialist workshops and do drop in sessions on these weeks too, usually these are first week in Jan, two weeks around easter and also in september. Best to keep posted via facebook and our mailing list (join on our site) http://www.blushdance.com – cant wait to meet you all at the jam on 18th and workshops on 17th – Oh and I have 4 places left on dans beg/int workshop and 0 places on int/adva (but trying to squeeze more poels in to create a couple more places) bex xx
