Tutorial from ExDiva: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ahTqoa5xkks&feature=channel_page (shows you different beginner ways all the way to advanced)

Video of Riley: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oJAni94yFO8 (its sideways but still okay)

    Hope that helps! https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_biggrin.gif

    Yaay! Thanks Violet.

You wouldn’t believe the search results I got for typing in "how to get into a teddybear" in the search engine https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_surprised.gif https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_redface.gif

Does anyone have tips for the version Riley demonstrates in the second link? (From the floor, arms straight ahead with hands together, squeezing in one armpit to the pole, then lifting legs up to a V)

It looks great but it hurts my armpit/shoulder area SOOO much just getting into that position and applying pressure (pushing my hands down and forward) – I haven’t even tried lifting my legs yet! Holy cow! Any tips?

    Its hurting your shoulder?

I know when I attempt the move it is semi painful on the inner arm since basically all your body weight has to be suspended in the air by just that patch of skin. But like everything else, it gets less intense as you keep practicing. It also helps to have some skin showing on your side where the pole is hitting (i recommend practicing this in a bra of some sort) to help grip a bit there as well.

But if its hurting your actual shoulder muscles I would recommend doing some exercises to strengthen your shoulders (Veena has a vid of some on her profile) or it could be flexibilty in wrapping your arm around the pole like that… make sure you stretch out that area before attempting.

*shrug* I’m still learning the Teddy and can only stick it about 50% of the time but hope that helps!! Hopefully other people can give you any additional tips? https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_biggrin.gif
