I keep seeing all these awesome videos you ladies post where you spin effortlessly, are you on spinny poles? Or am I just really bad at apinning around my pole gracefully lol

It’s probably on spin pole. Spinning for more than a few seconds on static takes a lot of momentum, so if the spin keeps going and going and it looks effortless, chances are it’s spin pole. You’ll eventually start to be able to tell the difference.

If you watch closely you can see on a static pole the hand will travel down as you spin, on spinning pole they stay in place. You should be able to see what I’m talking about in this demo video. Static spins will not have nearly as many revolutions as spinning either. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CtinAzp17s0

This video shows a bunch of static spins, you can see how my hand travels down the pole. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=h9B-OQLIa-o

You’ll see it the lessons too, where I teach both static and spin in the same lesson.

Thanks ladies! That is what I was thinking but I kept looking at the pole to see if there was some spot that I could watch it was hard. The difference is quite a bit once I knew what to look for. Thanks! I may have to get myself a spinning pole…
