  • New pole line from Platinum Stages

Starting in September Platinum Stages is going to start selling a new line of poles called "Extreme Poles". These poles are removable and have the same old static/spin option that their Super Pole has. The Extreme Poles will be available in 1.75" or 2" and in either stainless steel or brass. The idea of a portable brass pole is interesting just because I thought brass didn’t handle traveling that well. https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_question.gif

And they are coming out with a non-stage "free standing" pole too. I don’t know what their designs are compared to the R-Pole but it will be cool to see.

Mmm. You can already get a superpole in brass- it’s just a one piece.

Which makes me wonder about the extreme poles in brass- are they one piece too? because my understanding was that brass really didn’t like being in pieces.

I’m not sure whether I’m going to convert my pole or not. Using the last 6 inches at the ceiling appeals, but 180 bucks to convert does not.

Yeah, not interested in paying them any more money just to change out a few parts. And it looks like the poles are one piece and the height is adjusted from the bottom (kind of like a Carmen pole). Although this pole can handle real pole dancing and a person up to 200 pounds.

I got an offer for an upgrade too. I must admit that the height adjustment being at the bottom is tempting just because of the extra six inches it would give at the top. However, on the same feature I wondered if my feet wouldn’t get caught down there or not? Dunno. Anyhoo, I don’t care to go through the trouble of getting the upgrade . And…. I would rather let some others take test runs on the new one. Besides my pole isn’t very aged yet. It hasn’t even had it’s first birthday.

Yes, that was the exact advertisement I saw. I love the idea of a removable brass pole, though! PoleJunkies, I was hoping that you might have a personal comment to this new line or what you think is the difference between this pole and another. The ad certainly makes it seem awesome, but thought you might have personal experience with it since you are the Canadian PS representative (queen!), right?

Thanks for keeping us posted. That would be great to hear some feedback on the demo, Pics would be good too. https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_bounce.gif I have heard a tiny bit about the PS free standing pole but not too much. Does the new free standing pole have a mat that you HAVE to use, like the R pole? Does it come in different diameters and finishes? https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_biggrin.gif

EDIT I just saw the first post at the top! lol questions answered https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_lol.gif

I have been interested in a free standing pole for a while… it would be cool to see some pics. https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_smile.gif

Hey PoleJunkies… I was reading the ad when it first came out and it mentioned a garden pole. I looked at the website again today and now there is no garden pole mentioned in the ad. Was it a typo or did they mean that the SA pole could be used as a garden pole?

I asked them if their freestanding pole needed any weights or sandbags to hold it down and they said no ^.^

With the SA pole, how many feet of usable pole is there? I know X stage has 9ft of usable pole, which I love because I’m 5′ 8". https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_wink.gif

You can now pre order the new extreme super poles on platinum stages. It’s not as expensive as I thought they were going be $349 for stainless steel 2" or 1.75". Add $100 for brass, 2" only. I am excited to see what the Extreme Stand Alone pole costs, but that won’t be available until October.
