My ceilings in my apartment are slightly over 9 feet tall. It seems when I went to install the x-pole tonight that it is over what both of the included extensions are able to do.

Where can I buy extensions? Veena do you sell these? I am running off to look and see if these are sold anywhere else now.

My ceiling is just a little over 9ft., and although my x-pole fit with all the pieces it came with, i had to unscrew the adjuster almost all the way out. I ended up buying the 50mm extension (although i had to remove one of the smaller extensions that it originally came with… and now it’s perfect, and the best thing is that i barely had to unscrew the adjuster at all, i omitted the cover cap completely, so i can use my pole all the way up to the ceiling!! https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_lol.gif

I think Veena has said that she doesn’t sell extensions on the site, but you should double check with her. You can definitely buy them from x-pole’s site.. I got mine from somewhere elset for about 50$ (shipping included) brand new.. but can’t remember where since someone else ordered it for me. I think it may have been Craig’s list, but i can find out for sure if you want to know. https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_razz.gif

Thanks for the reply. I’m looking at the x-pole us site

    http://www.xpoleus.com/shop_extensions.php

Which one was it that you got? You said in your previous post 50mm but I don’t see one. I’ve been trying to do the math on what I need. I basically need 9 inches more so I am debating wether to get two 100mm piece which would put me one inch away, or get one 125mm and just use the adjust to make up the 4 inches difference.

    What do you think?

You could always just call or email X-Pole and they can tell you which is best. I have ceilings that are too short for the standard kit – 7′ even – and asked what extension I could buy to use in place of the lower pole. They hooked me right up; excellent customer service https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_thumright.gif

sorry to reply so late, but i hope you’ve already talked with x-pole, like foxy said! They’ll know what’s best.. usually they say it’s better to get a larger extension and use less pieces rather than using many smaller extensions. I got mine from the UK x-pole, so maybe they have different sizes than the US? i don’t know, mine was 50mm in length.

Thanks for your reply azriel. I have been trying to call the x-pole U.S. number today (888-976-5387) and my phone keeps saying that number is not allowed. Very strange. https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_cyclops_ani.gif
Yeah the ‘mm’ aka millimeters are a little weird for me as I am wired to thinking in inches. I will keep trying that number until I can get through.

Thanks so much for trying to help with this. I am afraid it will be a little longer until my pole is standing, but it is my fault for not fully researching that the standard extensions would not provide enough height for these ceilings. https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_pale.gif

You could try emailing them, too. They answered mine within the same day https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_smile.gif

Thanks so much checking in. Actually I spent a good amount of time on the phone with AT&T trying to figure out why it wouldn’t allow me to dial x-poles U.S. number. After a bit they admitted they just couldn’t figure out why I couldn’t get through unless x-pole wasn’t allowing cellphone numbers to call in (highly unlikely) https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_cyclops_ani.gif

But on my lunch hour at work today, I was able to call x-pole and I did order the part needed. You were right they were really nice. I should be getting my part next Monday. So that means I will start counting down the days again until I can pole from home. https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_thumleft.gif
