I have a hard time finding leg warmers that work well for poling and that don't cost an arm and a leg. I am looking for two types:

    1) the kind that you can wear with stilettos/poling shoes (with stirrup hole or not) or without shoes

    2) some that can be worn over knee pads without

So ladies where do you get your leg warmers from? I am familiar with discount dance supply that seems to have some leg warmers for a good price but I am leary about buying from there because I don't know if they will work for pole work or not.

I have a pair of knee pads that I got from my local sports store but they start to bunch up and shift and then start to hurt the back of my knees so much after a few minutes crawling around because obviously they are made for upright sports and not crawling around on the ground. So some ideas where to get a good pair of floorwork/dance knee pads would be much appreciated as well.

It's actually a bad time of year for legwarmer purchases. Most stores stock them late summer/early fall. If you want to buy some now, you'll have to go to an online store like sockdreams or foottraffic. I'd go for something that says super long. http://www.sockdreams.com/products/accessories/leg-warmers/?p=1&sort=sockcategoryproductlink_SortOrder&pp=all

Alethea sells leg wamers that STAY UP and go over everything. They're my favourite and made by American Apparel, I believe.

I checked Alethea's web site but I didn't see any let warmers.  Is there a different place to look?

What do you mean about leg warmers being good for pole?

If you live in Europe, you can order from this site:
    http://www.dancedirect.com/uk/

I've used them in Israel, and have been really happy with the service and prices.

great!!! the faux fur leg warmers with removable knee pads are already on our site!! they are my personal creation and think they help me slide better on the floor and protect my knees!!! the new ones will be an alternative fabric choice (i.e., knit). 😉
