I’ve been curious about testing my skills in the "real world" against exotic dancers, and I’ve been presented with the opportunity to do so in a few weeks. I have never been to a strip club *sorry if my choice of words offends anyone* and I DON’T know what to expect.

From watching enough movies and CSI: Las Vegas, I know that I need a name, a playlist, and an outfit.

I have picked a name (it’s not too original, but it will serve the purpose), and I was thinking of a 80 metal/hair band – rock’n’roll kind of theme (Motley Crue, Kidd Rock, NIN…that direction).

LADIES, help me with the outfit – what I can wear that’s sexy and seductive yet not too "in-your-face"? velcro shorts? zippers? I’m totally lost here.

    Thanks!

Well the strip club ive been to around here just wore bikinis and once one of them wore a cute see through top with a bikini underneath (or nothing). What i would suggest is looking online for some really cool looking bathing suits whether it be a monokini or a really cook bikini. The higher priced stuff is really cute (of course!). =)

I’m shopping online for an outfit as well, because some dance clubs in my area have recently put up poles for their patrons to have fun on (so nice of them to do so!). I’ve found that http://www.amiclubwear.com has some excellent prices on booty short and bikini top sets and if you’re going for a rocker kind of a theme they do have faux leather and metallic items. Also, http://www.electriqueboutique.com is another site with a good selection. I guess the main thing is to make sure you’re comfortable in whatever you chose to wear, because no one wants to worry about their outfit mid-cross knee release or something like that! Have fun!

Are you going to be dancing as part of an amatuer’s night or are you going to work there?

Most clubs have very specific policies about dress code. Some require covered nipples, some require "doubling up" panties, some allow full nudity.

Additionally, if you work there they may have required styles at various hours or on different night. Like some require long gowns on certain evenings or after a certain hour. etc.

Any by all means…go to the club before you dance there!!! It’s not like you see on TV!

    Thanks for the help girls!

Where I live, full nudity is acceptable at clubs (yet somehow I doubt I’ll do that).

I’m thinking going on an amature and seeing what that’s like… I’ve been told it’s pretty much open to whatever during those nights.

And yes I do intend and going there soon and checking the place out and seeing what I’m up against.

I think it could be a fun opportunity to work on my perfomance skills…*fingers crossed* I won’t fall flat on my face!

I’ve worked in bikini and topless clubs, so I don’t know how fully nude works, but I wear either sexy underwear & bra, or bikini — not a regular bathing suit, a bikini made for exotic dancing. Try discountstripper.com. There are also sets w/ little skirts that are cute and fun to have something more to take off on stage. Most girls wear Pleaser (or similar brands) platform shoes or boots. Many girls also wear leg warmers or thigh-high stockings, although that may cause slippage on the pole.

You’ll want heavy, dramatic make-up, and probably leave your hair all down.

Most important, wear what makes you feel sexy and be as creative as you want! Have fun and let us know if you win, or how it goes!
