  • How does she do this shoulder mount exit??

    Hi Everyone,

Can any of you tell me how this SM exit at 1:18 is done?

When I shouldermount the pole is wedged in the groove between my neck and shoulder and when I try to dismount as shown in the vid my shoulder blocks me. How does she get hers out of the way?

It is called a shoulder mount flip and you have to go over the shoulder that is on the pole.  I have found that the flip is so much easier with the Veena grip as you have more control after the flip portion than you do in standard cupped grip.

This is SUPER scary to learn on your own and I would not do it without a spotter the first few times.

    Hi Chem 🙂

The thing is I can do a shoulder mount flip like this one http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=l2suQFMCRyY as well I can even do an ariel SM flip.

But in the other vid she seems to be going sideways and down whereas in Skittle's vid she pulls herself upside down so the pole is out of the way for the flip, but I guess I will try it with the Veena grip maybe I can get more control that way.

When I first started doing the flip I could not get myself all the way over and my "flips" pretty much looked like this (with me falling afterwards).

I suggest learning it the same way you would the sm. From the floor! Use a mat because you’ll be landing on the knees.
