Find the OLDEST pole dance video on YouTube
So I thought of this after reading the topic ‘first move that Wowed you’ I thought it would be a fun challenge to do! Who can find the Pole dance video with the oldest date on it (the dates will be in the right hand corner next to the username for anyone who doesn’t know where to look)

I know she had videos before this and so did a lot of other people as I was learning from them in 2005! The problem is a lot of people have re-done or just taken down their older videos.
Im going to keep looking though…I have to think of who I may have been watching then besides KT

I haven’t been able to find anything before Wendy. It’s funny to see how these dancers have first of developed themselves and to see how they pioneeered an entire industry. These are still women who are leading the industry today!

As I said I know there were plenty others earlier than this time frame – I joined Vertical Dance back in December of 2005 when it first opened but I had met them all early in 2005 prior to that on another pole forum which closed down a few months prior to KT starting her forum. On the other forum, which I believe was called "My Pole" (????) we were watching lots of videos already.
I searched the people I knew from back then and either couldnt find their youtube or they had updated their youtube movies – a few I saw had soundtrack changes and were re-uploaded later than the original dates. Interesting, I DO believe that the one I posted of Wendy MIGHT be the very first she ever posted on Youtube!
Off the track a little bit but if anyone is interested…this is the "making of" the Barry White Gold commercial…it shows the star that KT was a "dance double" for, all the tons of water they had pouring on them, and the last minute or so KT doing her stuff for the clip. Funny…they removed the soundtrack saying they didn’t ahve the rights to use it even though it was all Barry White’s music from that CD!!! So there is no sound but there was actually very little talking it was mostly music:

Yes…she’s been on a few of them from My pole to Vertical Dance to Body and Pole though I don’t know if she’s there any longer.
This doesn’t count as it’s not the oldest on Youtube but I remember this vid being posted on the pole cats website when they held the competition and according to her description it was in 2005.

Again, this does not count but I think Dancing at the Blue Iguana was filmed in 2000 or 2001. There is only a small clip of Darryl Hannah on youtube but this is when Sheila Kelley started pole dancing going on to start S Factor because of that experience.

Yep…Blue Iguana came out in 2000.
I can also remember finding Fawnia’s DVDs with clips online…Her first video came out in 1998 and I found it in 99 afer I my first visit to a strip club.
I remember when she came out to Chicago to perform at an event I hosted I thought a few of my students were going to faint when they met her!! Now it’s funny that even though Fawnia lead the way in pole dancing for everyday women, many of my students have never heard of her.

I bet there are more that know her as a Bodybuilding.com spokes model than know her as a leader for pole.
