  CAR Help me!

  So I can get the CAR only one way.  I have to have the top of my foot on the pole before I layback.  Its pretty much a security thing for me. 

   

  Anything I can do to stop myself from doing it everytime?

  While I have not personally advanced into the CAR yet (though I work on it while I can! https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_confused.gif) Maybe  if you lean yourself back, I suppose as if going into a CKR.. but then walk your hands down the pole slowly? Making sure to keep those feets away from the pole :] You'll figure out a way <3

  When you say it's a security thing, is it because you don't trust your grip? when I first starting doing the CAR, I used to go into it from a wrist seat, already partially in position–just cross legs and lower my body the rest of the way back. It really seemed to lock in my grip.

  Haha, I can only get into it one way too, but mine is to go from basic plank to advanced plank, then tip legs up and walk hands down before letting go in CAR position.  It's not very consistent for me though, I'd rather CKR any day of the week.  🙂

  I think its due to the pole not being further in my thighs and more at my knees.
