Hi! Well I don’t know any official stores, though I’m sure there are plenty BUT go to camden! There are a ton of shoe shops lining camden high street and ALL of them sell a huge range of killer pole shoes, and beautiful thigh high pvc boots, loads of different styles. Also loads of cute costumes and well, and wigs, accessories….its basically awash with stripper/poling/rave/alternative gothy stuff. https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_mrgreen.gif Theyre good prices as well!

I’ve been to Camden once before but wasn’t looking for shoes then – I paid more attention to corsets https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_biggrin.gif.
Yay! I can’t wait! Oh, And I have to get a pink wig like the one Alice/Jane has in Closer https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_cat.gif

I know this is a long shot, but does anyone know where to get pole shoes/boots in Dublin?

Hmmm…think I may have to take a trip to Camden this week, am desperate for pole shoes, i keep making my foot bleed when I inert and hold on too hard with the top.

Any one have any recommendations on how high the heel should be, I haven’t danced in shoes for a few months because I have carpet and it’s never really worked well.

I read on one of the forums on SV about putting tape on the bottom so figured i’d do that but I don’t wear heels often and I fear i’ll look like a complete muppet if the shoes are too high or too low!

Echoing everyone else Camden is the place to go. I recently got a pair of Pleaser shoes for £35 – can’t go wrong!

The shop is called Legend Footwear 240 Camdem High Street. But there are many shops around there that sell Pleaser shoes for reasonable prices so you should be able to find something. https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_smile.gif

@ Halfjack: I’m staying for 4 days at least, maybe more, depending on when the cheapest flight is https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_smile.gif I know this is offtopic but I’m very excited about seeing Wicked again (1st time in London https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_biggrin.gif). Are you from London?

@ Polekitten: I think the heel lenght depends only on your preference…I’ve been dancing in 6" heels, but I want to buy 6.5" if I find them. I think the higher ones would be too heavy for me, I’m having trouble inverting in the ones I have now :I lol.

@ Aubbal: Sorry, no clue https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_sad.gif

@Aubbal Ive had a look around a few adult shops in Dublin (ugh they’re awful here I hate going in them!), they have some shoes but they’re poor quality and SEVERELY overpriced (tho isn’t everything here!), like at least 3-4 times what you’d get them in London or America for. Honestly you’re better off ordering them online, even with the postage costs they’re still better value.

Hi vixmax – if you walk along the main street/market area there are tons of places that sell this kind of stuff, just have a wander and you will find something. Or you could try Cyberdog, they sell all kinds of crazy neon stuff that could potentially be good for pole 🙂 http://shop.cyberdog.net/
