I have constant callouses on my hands, especially the fingers with rings. I don’t think there’s really anything to do about that though, because even if you were able to treat them…they’d probably still come back after more poling.

you can moisturize your hands (on non-poling days of course) to help soften the calluses..but it comes with the territory. I don’t think that there is a pole dancer out there that dosen’t have rough man hands…lol https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_biggrin.gif

Do you have blisters (ripped skin)? or calluses (hard dry skin)? People who have sweaty hands tend to get blisters, a warm pole and hot moist skin can rip. If that is the problem try to dry your hands often and give your hands and pole a break in between spins, spins heat up the pole and your hands the most. Do floorwork or transitions in between.

If its calluses then do what Roxi suggested….this is what I have to do. I have cold dry hands, so I tend to get calluses. https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_sad.gif

I can vouch for that. I ripped another chunk off my hand yesterday. My pole was warm but I did not think that my hands were too sweaty or anything.. But alas – I did a reverse grab and ripped a chunk off. I did it the other day too – but on the opposite hand.. It really hurts. The other hand’s skin ripped off right under my major callous that I have Glad to know the reason behind the ripping!

I just took a whole lot of skin off my palm/wrist too. https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_thumbdown.gif Ouch! I was trying to get the reverse grab and I only have about 15 min after class to work on it so I did too many spins in a row. https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_redface.gif

I ripped a big chunk of skin off of my hand doing the rg and was off my pole for a week https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_sad.gif I’ve learned my lesson and now let my pole cool down a bit once it gets too warm!
