I found a new transition out of ballerina (twisted) today — I'll post a video, it's pretty neat!

While we're here, for the advanced ballerina/eagle… I can hold the pose off the pole, but I'm having problems translating it to the pole… any advice? Is it supposed to be done from a twisted or non-twisted ballerina?

It’s done from the ballerina, not twisted 🙂

marion crampe does a beautiful eagle variation from a twisted ballerina– it's possible! and I think even prettier on spin pole then the regular eagle.

Haha, yes Amy, thanks for the link, I’ve have seen that and of course there are many varations for both ballerinas as well. I’m not saying its not possible….my responce is in reference to the terms, lessons and photos I use for the site. 😉

oh, i posted the link bc kyrelle sounded like she thought her problems getting into eagle stemmed from starting in the wrong position. i wasn't responding to you! 🙂

hmmm, no prob Amy,  I just looked at the link and I would still call that a Twisted ballerina. In my mind you would be grabbing the foot/leg with BOTH hands for it to be an Adv Ballerina AKA Eagle (Beillman). I call holding with only one hand a Ballerina or Twisted Ballerina only because adding that 2nd hand overhead isn't easy!!! Again, this is just my definition for the purpose of the lessons. https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_flower.gif
