    Hi There,

So I’m a total beginner, and was doing a back hook spin. It was looking really good and I got it, but my calf muscle from the leg that hooks hurts like crazy. Is this normal, or am I doing something wrong?

    Thanks

Totally normal! Your using that muscle more and in new ways!! Make sure to stretch your calfs!!

Might you be trying to squeeze the pole between your hamstring and your calf? That might be why your calf is sore. Try to relax that knee-hold just a little bit and see if that’s better. And of course, just like Roxy said, stretch!
