I have been thinking about getting pole dancing shoes and I found this article online:
    http://www.poleexercise.co.uk/2007/05/23/put-on-your-pole-dancing-shoes-looking-after-your-feet-on-a-dance-pole/

My issue is I have narrow/thin feet and wear a size 9-10 and the part that goes over the toes is usually an 1" or so above my toes on a lot of shoes making it way too loose. They are usually too wide too. Does anyone know of any brands MADE for pole dancing that run narrow or are adjustable? Or have a good return policy w/o spending a fortune in shipping? Thanks.

I hope so cause I don’t like my bare feet on the floor where other peoples feet have been and socks aren’t recommended. Plus I like heels. Sigh. I have this problem with normal shoes and when I find ones I like I buy several! Too bad I can’t use my tall ones for class, instructor said not really made for pole dancing.

I heard, heels wise, that pleasers are better for people with wide feet and Ellies are better for people with narrow feet. Someone on here was selling their size 9 ellies somewhere.

If you are going to try Pleasers or Lucious (a sub-line by Pleaser), http://www.shoebuy.com" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; is the site I use. Assuming you are in the U.S., they have free shipping, free RETURN shipping, no sales tax, and a price guarantee. They also have coupon codes out there all th time… the current one if for 20% off. Plus, if you sign up for Ebates (http://www.ebates.com/rf.do?referrerid=f1ojdr4ZDkn62E4xxBynPg%3D%3D" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; is my affiliate link), you’ll earn 10% back on your Shoebuy purchase! I LOVE Ebates so I had to give them a plug too. https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_wink.gif

    I would suggest starting with a pair of shoes with clear plastic uppers. They often start off a little tighter and then stretch to accommodate the width of your foot. Plus, they have some stick against your skin once your feet warm up. Also, you might want to try something with an extra strap on the front kinda like this: http://www.shoebuy.com/pleaser-delight-602/242733/519821" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

It’s just a theory. Good luck and keep us posted! https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_biggrin.gif

I second that about the shoes with the clear uppers…but I would also suggest maybe finding a local dancer supply store or lingerie store and trying some on…when you figure out which ones you prefer then you can hunt online for the best deal! Everyone is different in how they fit into dance heels. I for one wear an 8.5 and go down to an 8 in dance heels..but a lot of people on here say that they go up! I don’t like when there is "extra" shoe showing past my heel! https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_biggrin.gif

I’ve hear shoebuy.com is a great site and they do free shipping both ways (so if you don’t like em you can send them back for free)! Plus you can find crazy discount coupons online for up to 25% off your order! https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_cheers.gif

Yeah I second what Roxy says about size. The shoes I bought were in American sizes and I got confused when I was ordering and I ordered a size smaller than I normally take. Turns out the fit me exactly and if I had gotten my real size in them they would have been too big on me. I think maybe you would be best going for the clear top because its more pliable than the patent leather top on some of the shoes. https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_wink.gif

I ordered a pair of Pleasers (Treasure) and sized up but they were a bit too big in the part that goes over the top of the foot. But they were sold out in my size and I really wanted to keep them. https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_redface.gif I got some clear gel stick on heel grips and put them on the inside of the top of the foot part instead. And I added some ball of the foot grips as well. It made them fit much better.
But from now on I don’t think I’m going to size up anymore!

Thanks for all the suggestions everyone!
I’m not partial to the clear b/c my feet will look like "bare feet with hooves"( that what it looks like to me lol) but if I can’t find anything else then I will probably consider them or a material like it. Maybe I could put something over the clear part (over the toes, not the heel) and make it interchangeable…maybe fabric that stays on with velcro? Of course I dont know how that would hold up on the pole…any ideas? I love the idea of having one shoe that goes with many "outfits."

Meleania- I will check out the Ellies for sure, hopefully that brand will work.
pixiedustbelly- thanks for telling me about :www.shoebuy.com Sounds great!
Roxy-Pink- Good suggestion. I called around and I found one store that has some, which will at least help me with size. I’m hoping b/c of Halloween coming up I will have a better chance finding some locally!
Trena- good suggestion about watching the sizes esp if I can’t try them on. When in doubt call the company!
cbella13- I saw those shoes and loved the idea of the clear base that has the secret compartment. How truly customizable are they? What have you put in the base so far?

Mine are white and they have the secret compartment. I just put a lucky penny in them so far. https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_biggrin.gif

Oh, I like those! https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_cheers.gif Your pictures are better, everywhere I saw those said it had a compartment but didn’t show it. Can you feel the compartment or is it seamless against your foot? They have them in clear and other colors too. https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_smile.gif

You can’t feel it at all. They are really comfy! https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_thumright.gif I should have ordered true to size.
