    AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAARRRRRRRRRRGH!!! When will it ever stop! I wonder how long it’ll be before we see a video on youtube of one of these poles falling and nearly killing someone!! Is there no end to this crap!! Ugh!
    In the article:
    "It’s like Carmen Electra’s, but mine is better," she continued. "Mine will connect to the ceiling, and you can spin on it and do all that stuff on it."
    See how she’s being very very vague here. She’s not really being specific about what can be done on the pole. You can do spins and inverts on the other crappy poles but you’re putting your life at risk in doing so. https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_mad.gif https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_mad.gif https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_evil.gif https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_evil.gif

    the carmen electra pole connected to the ceiling too: IF you had your own bolts. They ever so graciously provided the holes in the ceiling plate (not the base, I had to invent those). Maybe this one comes with bolts!!!

    And yeah, this is ridiculous… why can’t a celebrity endorse a REAL pole!? https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_scratch.gif That’s the first thing I’m doing if I’m ever famous…

    Hi Ladies,

    I’m pretty sure someone posted some clips on this one earlier. It is made my x-pole and it is cheaper (but well made by the looks of it) than the normal x pole. I think it doesn’t have a spin function. Yes she calls it a stripper pole but at least this pole is a good one. No she can’t do much on the pole, but she is famous so she will get x-pole the attention they want. I think they wanted to come out with a cheaper (and simpler) pole so that they could get people buying x-poles from the start. So I think it is a good move marketing wise.

    I guess I don’t really care what they call it and I certainly don’t have an issue with people stripping so calling it a stripper pole doesn’t really bother me. Stripping is one activity that can be done on a dance pole to me it is no more or less valuable than any other types of dancing done with a pole.

    i’m using a lilmynx but moving to a higher place with a higher ceiling… thinking about getting an xpole but don’t like that its top mount.. the kendra pole is essentially an static only 45mm xpole with a bottom mount..

    http://www.xpoleus.com/shop_poles.php" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

    has anyone even seen or tried one?

    has anyone even seen or tried one?I have been informed that yes it is an X pole….BUT its only I tiny bit cheaper than what we sell the pole for and you don’t get the spin option so……I would go with the X pole not the Kendra, I think having spin mode is worth it. We have the best prices around!! https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_cheers.gif

    I’m pretty sure (don’t quote me on this) that in one of the threads about this pole, that someone said they inquired about it over the phone with X-Pole and they said flat-out that it wasn’t as good of quality as a regular X-Pole.

    And yes, New Dancer, there are other threads about this pole on the forums, but I believe this thread was started before we got the facts straightened out. Yes, it’s nice that it’s cheaper, but as Veena pointed out, I don’t think it’s a huge difference price-wise to make it more marketable. Only pay a few bucks more and get a better pole!

    It would be nice if X-Pole could somehow come out with a QUALITY pole that was about the same price as a Peek-a-boo pole, and even would be sold side by side in stores like Spencers so people have a fair shot at getting a good pole. Also maybe then X-Pole could put Peek-a-boo out of business! https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_twisted.gif That would be freakin’ awesome!

    I just saw this topic the other day then today I happened to stumble upon a youtube clip. I was shocked when I saw that X-Pole was involved & it’s not another peek-a-boo or carmen electra pole.

    Check it out:

    I havent tried a peek a boo pole, but I did purchase a "my sexy little pole" for about $180… it was really flimsy and I kept cutting my hands on the parts where the sections joined..I ended up throwing in the trash after a couple of weeks and getting a lil mynx. I was so disappointed with the first pole, although it didn’t break it did leave awful marks on my ceiling and it was just not comfortable to work with. I wish the stores in my town had the X-pole or the lil mynx. Yes I have seen the videos online…it looks so painful to see people falloff their poles. I know even my sub-par pole had warnings all over it, I wonder how people still invert on a pole that is clearly not meant for that..Kinda stupid, but also irresponsible on the manufacturer’s side too. um, that’s my 2 cents…o yeah one more penny, Kendra is awful on her pole, I’ve seen her show. She’s cute but her pole work is not.
