I have been working on this move myself recently. I found the dominant hand to work best (which is my right hand) below. I also have found that thrusting your hips upward will help getting into the plank position. Hope that helps!

    hey joni..
i too am more comfortable with my dominant hand on bottom, but it’s best to practice on both sides!
Like kobajo said, push your hips upwards, but at the same time try to push your legs downwards so you can get straighter.. also experiment with how high/low you place your hand, to see where your body will be the straightest.
Like every other move, the more you practice it the easier it will come & the more comfortable you’ll feel! Don’t forget to squeeeeeeeze your thighs together!

It seems like most people trying this don’t reach the bottom hand down far enough. It’s a bit scary at first, but you do need to reach pretty far down in order to feel secure holding your weight on that bottom hand. You also need to tighten your abs and legs and butt and well, really just squeeze the heck out of everything you’ve got Good luck with it.

I’m more comfy with the dominant hand down low.
