It’s a new freestanding pole without (yes that’s right without) a podium! It seems to defy the laws of physics

There’s a video on the page of Deb Riley testing it out and she felt it was much more solid than some podium poles she’d come across. It’s due to start selling in May and prices are to be announced in April. It’s quite sad just how excited I am over this, I so need to get one *frantically counts pennies*

Ummmmm…. this thing doesn’t look sturdy at alll https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_eek.gif Do you see how they have big heavy mats OVER their base when she does spins. https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_rolleyes.gif She looks like she’s dancing very carefully. After using the X pole stage I can really see how this pole wobbles..even during her handsprings. I have also use a Platinum stages, stage and that one the pole its self wobbles a bit but this pole looks like the whole thing will tip over https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_surprised.gif Its also stainless steel which is the hardest finish to handle. They also conveniently place that dark edge around the video so you don’t notices the mats they have placed over the poles base are moving all around. LOL

I’ve spoken to Debs personally and like any pole that’s not secured at the top it will wobble. All stage poles wobble, the X-pole stage wobbles, but according to Debs apparently you don’t feel the wobbles (I’ve tried out an X-stage and couldn’t feel the wobbles but wtaching a vid of me, it did wobble). I haven’t personally tried these, so I can’t comment from a personal perspective but Debs will be touring with these after MPD Worlds in Jamaica so people can try before they buy so hopefully I’ll be able to give my verdict after that.

As for it being stainless, my favourite pole in the world, Jake (unfortunately he belongs to my instructor) is the grippiest thing I’ve ever come across and he is stainless steel.

I dunno, I’m just really excited over this as in the future I want to teach but there is a distinct lack of places with suitable ceilings round here, so if this pole is all it claims to be then it’ll be the one I’m going to get

Yes, yes please let us know how it works….like I said in the chat room yesterday, you can feel the Xpole itself moving slightly….like say in a straight edge position…which is normal for any free standing pole. This pole sure looked like had quit a bit of lean to it when she was performing. I’m always on the look out for new better poles!! I just felt like the placement of the dark edging in the vid was maybe to hide the instability. https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_scratch.gif The grip of stainless steel can become better over use, but Titanium Gold and brass are the best in my book. It would be great if this pole turns out to be a good one! https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_cheers.gif I love how the pole is named Jake LOL.

Yes Lola, defiantely let us know how the trial goes. I am really interested in this pole!!! I do agree with Veena about the black edging on the video, very dodgy! lol

Hi Guys! sorry to resurrect an old thread but thought y’all might like to know…..
I added Deb Riley on facebook and today she posted a pic of her on an r-pole, base and all. I have to say it looks fab and i’m v interested in more info if anyone has any!
The base is round and looks like a thin spongey mat in 4 sections (a bit like a pie-chart).
She is doing a handspring on it, and there is no bend on it in the photo like there was in some of the previous ones i’ve seen. Wish they would give some more info on the website!!
