I’m in too 🙂
By te way, does anyone know how far off the ground people’s parallel splits (splits with square hips) are by the time they have their full turned out splits?
I’ve decided to train/stretch my parallel splits exclusively, and do my turned out splits once every few weeks so it should be a nice surprise to see how much lower I’ve gotten. If tht makes sense.I find it discouraging to do my splits every day/week and see minimal progress. Like watching hair grow 😛

Rylonn, I completely agree…I think this is why i don’t have my splits yet, I’m too impatient!!
How about every two weeks we do update photos. This can help us encourage eachother, and also provide some accountability!

Im so far off middles I actually dont know where to start. I cant lower my chest forward when im sittin in a very small straddle so will hopefuy see some progress. Ive my startin point pics up, what point are you guys at?

I can barely sit in a straddle! So I totally think I’m very far off that one.im aiming for side splits.
Will take photos tonight! I’m very far away…as in cant even get low enough to have my hands flat on the ground to help me balance :'( -
I'm in! I don't have any pictures, but I've been about 6 inches off the floor in middles, my parallels are either almost there (about an inch to go!) or still need some work. As soon as I get paid, though, I'm planning on getting the lessons here.

Michael i used to be the same, i couldnt get my hands anywhere near the floor. It really helped to use two chairs to balance and slide down that way.

My starting pic, also showing off my awesome pole kisses that I picked up this week. Ouch 🙂

Have one side front splits (not consistently) so that gives me plenty of time to get the other side. Heck im gonna try for middles too! Im in!!
-
I want in too! I've been working for a few months, once or twice a week on both front splits and middle split, but have a ways to go with each. I'd love to get a solid left and right front split by the end. Middles I'm sure will take longer… 🙂

I will be working on my side splits only. I hope to have both of them by Christmas.

I just ordered Alethea Austin's dvds Stretching for Pole and Pure Splits and I can't wait for them to arrive! I want to work on my front and middle splits, so let's see if I can get them for xmas! -I'm totally IN!!
-
YAY! Last year I worked so hard but was still far off by the holidays, but now I have me some SPLITS 😀 For everyone out there working on this do NOT give up 🙂
-
that is an important point adAstra!! I'm hoping that this challenge will give me a goal to work towards. I'll post my starting point photo later this week (tbh I'm slightly embarrassed about it!) I'm really hoping I'll get down to splits level, but if not, I know I'll be a lot closer than I am now and that's still a really exciting thought!!!
-
I'm in! And so are some of my stretching buddies from the studio. We even are posting our before pictures on facebook to show our progress! #christmastreesplits

Totally in! I’m pretty much there already but I want to be at the point where I’m at my splits when I’m cold. And my box splits need work! I’ll post starting pix asap!
