Happy weekend! Ok, let’s have a chat.

We all know there’s a ton of information out there as far as what beginners should be learning and what pole dance is all about. It can be very confusing to navigate what advice is solid and what is just fluff trying to sell you something.

If you’re just starting your pole journey, or struggling with feeling inadequate, behind, or frustrated with your progress, this video is a must watch. Perhaps you’re not new or maybe your an instructor. This video could help reframe your classes or personal pole sessions, allowing you to retain students with less effort, less frustration, and reduce injuries for students or yourself.

Before you watch the free video, I stand by my statement that “pole dance is for everybody”, but these day’s this saying has been taken out of context. I never meant it as a blanket statement insulating that any person, could go to any studio or learn from any video and achieve every pole trick you see on social media.

I was referring to The Veena Method of teaching. My methods are unique and my goal was to provide guidance for anyone who was interested in learning how to use a pole at home. Over the years others started using the statement as a way to promote pole dance in general. It’s misleading to tell someone who’s sedentary, over thirty, and thinking about pole dance, that it’s something anyone can do. That it’s as simple as go to class, become amazing! I see a crazy amount of reddit posts telling people to “just go to any studio/pole class”, but this is leaving out information like how the most important aspect is actually the instruction you receive. In my mind accessibility is all about the instruction you consume. Pole dancing can be extremely daunting if you haven’t found the right fit for you!

Last, I want to remind everyone that our poles are not just for tricks. It’s a great tool for flexibility work, rehab, massage, balance training or a place to anchor resistance bands! So, even if you never “dance” with your pole, there are so many other ways to utilize this shiny object.

Anywho, I’ve been in the pole industry for over 17 years and I think this one video might be the most important video for every pole dancers to watch. If you’d like to share it with others, just copy and paste the video link. It’s free for anyone to see, they don’t need to register or sign in to view it.

I’d love to hear your thoughts or questions!
