    Hi Veena
I would like to post some ideas for new lessons. Searching youtube for some good tutorials for different moves I would like to learn but found nothing that works for me. Probably I like your lessons so much, I can’t work with other tutorials LOL 🙂

So here are my ideas for new lessons:

    – Sad girl drop
    – Twisted grip prep tutorials (strenght building or a prep program)
    – Twisted grip spins (I LOVE this, but not able to do it atm)
    – reverse spin variations

Maybe others can join my idea list. I like your lessons so much Veena and it would be great to learn this moves from YOU 💜💜💜

    Hugs!

Thanks for posting, it’s always nice to have ideas listed for me!! xoxox

When you say reverse spin do you mean just spins going backwards in general or reverse grab?

    Hi Veena, here’s my wishlist:

    * Move: Seahorse, here is a video: https://youtu.be/Uit_9MWjnx0
    * Combo: butterfly (or extended butterfly) into half jade split (or jade).
    * Tips for inverting on spinning. I have no problem on static, but on spinning, I get totally disoriented when I’m upside down and freak out.

I love when you provide different entries and exits for a move.

    Thanks!

Ditto the butterfly to jade. Someone just tried to teach me this and I get totally lost on what order to do things and slide off.

And ditto seahorse–I’ve been working on that for many weeks with no success.

Veena I mean some variations of the reverse grab. I saw a lot of them by other dancers and wonder how to do this. Unfortunately I don’t know the names, but that’s not important at the moment. Maybe you can create a reverse grab variations lesson 🙂

I was looking for a lesson on twisted grip aysha, but couldn’t seem to find it in your tutorials, so that would be great. I especially am having a hard time fonding my balance.

Latin…If you look at the quick lesson section you’ll find a bunch of spinning pole lessons including how to invert both forward and back!

Iben Fahlen (I always giggle at that name btw) The TG grip isn’t there for a reason. I have thought about making a video to post the the lessons so people understand the the twisted grip isn’t the only option for handspring and such. Also touch on why it may be harmful for some dancers and how to train for this grip. It’s taught far too often as something everyone should do in class and that’s not the case.

    Ok Poleaventures got it!

Thanks Veena, I did the spinning invert prep today. How many reps do you recommend? I think I did 4 per side.

I think Dr. Ken Pole Ninja came up with it–that’s where I first saw it on his IG page.

Not dance related but I have so much trouble filming myself and figuring out how to post video and edit ECT. Have you ever thought about posting tips on videoing yourself?? I have had a pole insta for 6 months and there’s still nothing on it!

I have had some other requests for that kind of tutorial. I could do tips for filming but posting can be complex because there are so many options and devices. I’m honestly terrible with tech and always have webmaster or my sons help me there. lol Filming tips I could do tho!

Veena, do you do yoga? I’d love to have a 30 minute yoga routine or something like that. It doesn’t have to be advanced at all, but I think that it could be a nice flowy alternative to the stretching I usually do.

“I have thought about making a video to post the the lessons so people understand the the twisted grip isn’t the only option for handspring and such. Also touch on why it may be harmful for some dancers and how to train for this grip.” I would like to know this info, I am big on safety.

Low flow combos and transitions, including floor work. Routines. Combos in general 😍

“Low flow combos and transitions, including floor work.”

YES PLEASE! I’ve got a small space with an x-stage setup, and it’s tough to get much floorwork practice in without taking the whole thing down. Low flow/basework is a good compromise because it’s *sort of on the floor* but I don’t have to completely dismantle my pole to get the space for it. Bookmarking videos on instagram only gets me so far if I barely understand the beautiful witchcraft they’re doing. 😉

Thanks so much for taking this discussion into consideration!
