WARM UP – Length 8:00 – Items needed: None

This warm up was designed to target your core and get your blood pumping and muscle ready for pole dance.

Tips to help you get the most out of this warm up:

  • If it’s cold in your pole space or you still feel cold after finishing, feel free to run through it again.
  • This warm up is suitable for those who are new to pole, but understand it’s intense!
  • It can be used on its own at anytime to condition the core or as a warm up.
  • Make sure you’ve been cleared by your health professional before starting any exercise programs.

  1. I know that it is best to be in active rest on a rejuvenation day, I have been doing yoga or walking and some dancing on these days – am wondering though, if it would be okay to use this core strengthening more often, like almost every day – on rejuvenation days as a warm up primarily, before stretching or foam rolling? Or is it better for the core too to have a chance to rest in order to build strength. In my earlier life I certainly did pilates & yoga on a daily basis and that felt pretty supportive – for me this is pilates-ish. Your thoughts Veena? Thanks!

  2. I personally treat my core as I do other muscle groups and do not train them specifically every day. If you do decided to add this in be sure to follow up with some stretches for the abdominals. Often people who love ab work forget how tight it can make them! Tight abs mean a more challenging time with back mobility. 🙂

  3. If you only knew what your program has done for me !!! It’s too much to type but going on 3 years poling with fibro and herniated disks galore, I’m not the same! I never thought I’d be where I am and sure as heck not this fast! I can’t thank you enough love!
