I love that one, too! Ottersocks does a phenomenal one in her Polestock vid. I think it’s towards the end. I’ve been trying to practice it, but I think it’s one of those moves you’ve got to video because looking at it upside down in the mirror is really confusing. I’d love to see a tutorial (hint, hint).

Removable poles aren’t just the tension-mount poles such as Xpole. Depending on your ceiling and the height of it, you can put up a permanent top mount on the joist and install a Lil Mynx pole. This pole can be taken down quickly and the space is cleared for other uses. Warning: often the floor will get scratched! Also, the stainless steel Lil Mynx pole is very slippery and the powder-coated one gets scratched fairly easily. To be honest, it’s my least favorite pole, but I just wanted to tell you that there is another option out there as well.

I think the pole community in Miami has grown quite a bit since I left. I heard there are a few studios to choose from now. Awesome! What a great place to pole.
