A few things:
1) WOW!!! This is becoming an amazing thread. The value you guys attribute to Veena’s lessons is amazing. There are some great ideas here which is what we were really looking for with this thread.
2) Don’t anyone worry. While we appreciate that there are people who find that much value here, we will not charge for any feature other than the lessons. When Veena started pole dancing the forums available were catty and mean, Youtube was and still is less than ideal and the pole community was fragmented. One of our core values is to provide the community features completely free of charge so that pole dancers never have to experience that again. this is very very important to us.
3) It seems that the range of available financial arrangements might not be super clear, so I might need to work on that. If the $99 is too much for someone up front your have the $20 per month and the $35 per month, additionally every new user gets sent an early upgrade option giving you the first month for $10 if you want to try it, and as many of you are aware we run sales quite frequently as well.
We so appreciate the love we get from the community, and while its hard work from the time we wake up until the time we go to bed this is an endeavor thats worth it. It’s nice to hear that you all realize that Veena’s rapid responses come at a cost, I can’t tell you how many times we’ve been about to go to bed sometime north of midnight and Veena still has just a couple comments she’s got to reply to before bed or one more email.
I want you to know how much you all mean to her.

The lessons do work on the iPad and iPad mini as does the whole site. We’ve actually put a lot of time and effort into insuring that the site scales across platforms.

Bleskouka – There is a monthly option if you can’t afford the whole $79 up front but still want them. https://www.studioveena.com/accounts
-
Anzia – You are in luck we actually have 30 and 60 day recurring memberships as well 🙂

PayPal does offer the guest option on physical purchases, like a pole for example. On digital purchases they don’t. I think it has to do with the intransigent nature of the purchase and their need to control funding to a more precise degree. Essentially its a protection for the buyer, that way if there is a complaint PayPal can simply shift the funds back to the buyer’s account and avoid the chargeback process completely.

Alexis Corinne – That’s an interesting suggestion. We have definitely considered it but we have concerns over the storage of financial information. Currently, despite the bad rap it gets, PayPal is actually a much more secure and far less loss prone way to pay than a standard credit card.
When you consider the security breaches at multi-billion dollar companies like Target I hesitate to put StudioVeena at the legal risk that is possible when you handle card information.
How do you feel about the storage of financial information? After having my card number stolen I actually find myself trying to use PayPal (which is connected to my card) everywhere I can online to prevent the theft of said information again.
-
BkM1 – What do you consider a serious discount or trial, price wise? We give everyone three free days that gives you unlimited access to all the lessons and at $99 ($79 if they are on sale) you get far more content than you will out of any DVD set that will ring up for a much higher cost and doesn’t offer a free trial.

AdministratorAugust 13, 2014 at 1:07 pm in reply to: The Public is getting worked up again …My feeling is that people complain about everything. People complaining about pole dancing gets news coverage because its sensationalization has more entertainment value than covering people complaining about rusty cars, those kids skateboarding in the parking lot or other people’s kids.
When we started StudioVeena pole dancing was much more of a social taboo but responses to finding out Veena is a pole dancer has changed from “Does your husband mind?” to “I’ve seen that and think its amazing.” Because of this I don’t put much stock in the naysayers any more because they will always be there.

Here I think is the key:
Having a passion for pole and a passion for teaching pole are two completely different things.
If you like to pole dance you should pole dance.
If you don’t enjoy teaching don’t teach pole dance it will destroy your love for pole (this applies to any activity)
If you don’t love business don’t start a pole studio it will destroy your love for pole (also the same for any activity)
Dancing, teaching and business are three completely different things and having a passion for the first doesn’t mean doing either of the other two in the field is a good idea.

I’ll see if I can get Veena to post a photo.

We made the decision to leave the description in place because you are still technically in the original lesson and we didn’t want to create confusion.
The lessons below are lessons that exist elsewhere in the lesson section and they are linked in because they relate to or are used in the current video.

Thank-you for that. We work hard to make sure our site is usable on as many devices as possible. We feel its really unique among niche industry sites. It’s a lot of hard work but we know how many people just don’t get time to get in front of their computers on a daily basis any more.

Generally when people say elsewhere they are referring to Youtube hosted videos. Youtube has a multi-billion dollar edge network. Which means that there is a good chance you are playing youtube videos from a mirror only a couple miles away from you and probably on your ISPs network, leaving very little potential for any problems.
Other edge networks, such as Amazon’s, only provide a few mirrors per continent. In Australia we only have two, which means that there are many ISP dependent issues that can occur.
We do our best to use technology partners that can help eliminate these issues but without budgets like Google can afford we can’t completely eliminate issues like this.
The upside is that if it happened out of nowhere it generally disappears out of nowhere when your ISP finds their issue or after enough complaints.
-
If the lessons have worked fine for you in the past but not recently it is generally indicative of a failure with your ISP or less commonly a problem with your computer. We use Amazon’s infrastructure to deliver our content which provides a very consistent experience.

In any chat room or in one-on-one chat you will see an icon at the top that looks like a little webcam. That is how you turn on video or start a video chat.

AdministratorJuly 6, 2014 at 9:30 am in reply to: Veena’s workout routines vs Cleo’s rockin legs & absVeena’s lessons are created from the perspective of a personal trainer. She uses her knowledge of body mechanics to get the best result possible in a compact workout. Veena also focuses on informing you about the proper form and potential downfalls as your workout will always be more effective when done properly.
Veena’s workouts are progressive as well. They are designed to take you from zero to amazing while providing all the support and information you need in between.
While many DVDs have great talents on them who have done some amazing things, they tend not to be designed around someone who is not at the performers level. Veena, however, excels at breaking things down and getting back to the basics even providing multiple options for doing the same exercise or move as your skill, strength and flexibility increase.

Generally failed uploads are caused by high latency, or long breaks between chunks of data. You can check this as well at http://www.speedtest.net
Latency can come from a failing router, local cable issues, distance to the medfa converter or any number of other things.
Check this first. It is often, but not always, accompanied by poor internet speeds as signal degradation is one of the primary causes.

It is running only through this weekend.

We had expected to see it by May but we are still waiting.
