I just had Bettie Page tattoed on my calf, but i got it designed with a pole too, i wanted to combine my love of pole and burlesque. is healing nicely, can't do crucifixes though..

I too am one of those peeps, my cat is always around the pole when i am poling and often features in my vids too. I also am head of big cats at Colchester zoo, I get the lions pole dancing too, when i feed them at the top of a telegraph pole haha!!! Their climb is awesome!!!

I am feeling like that at the moment too. I am teaching beginner/ intermediate stuff which is great but I don't now of any classes near me where I can be taught new stuff. i I have learn't some cool new stuff in the last few months, that I have taught myself, but I really want to do Aysha and Brass Monkey and moving on with them, but I find it hard to do on my own. I would really appreciate an actual teacher there to help me. Veena's lessons are great but no substitute for an actual instructor in the flesh.
Just feeling a bit down about it, I took lessons for a year then I began learning moves myself that my instructor couldn't do, so for the last two years have taught myself, because I can't find anyone in my arae to taech me, I don't drive so I can't travel far…
I know your pain hunni xx

What is the prayer pose? We use shaping through positive re-inforcement with our big cats. It really works, I trained an Amur leopard to accept us placing a stethoscope onto his chest for medical exam using this technique.

I only tried fake lashes last year and I am hooked they are awesome!! I use Girls Aloud Cheryl Cole style, abt £4 a pack, they are long but not ridiculously long. They can be tricky but with practice like anything you will get there. 🙂

This is a great thread, its my new years resolution too. I haven't started a programme yet, Alethea has a splits dvd coming out in Jan if anyone did not know I may start in the 6 weeks programme and throw in some of Aletheas stuff too. Good luck all 🙂

I really wanna go with my boyf too just to see the pole work. My boyf reckons they won’t be doing much on the pole and I will be dissappointed cos I can prob do more stuff than them. I agree with chem! I started with chunky heels/platform shoes because I was used to low heels, then graduated to a stiletto….and because sizes seem to vary so much it’s best to go try them on. Good luck and keep rocking that pole girl!! *HUGZ*

I found that the hood ornament really helped condition the under arm for holds. Because you are using your underarm to grip onto pole but also you are pushing the pole into your side and you have top of the foot against the pole and the inside of you knee too, so theres lots of contact points to ease the presssure on the under arm. I have had this dvd about a year, and I want the Slink Slide and Melt one too, but the website didn’t respond when I tried to buy it, so I didn’t try again, also as everyone was having trouble with it coming through. I agree some of the tricks are doable depending on your level, and the harderones are on the level of Panteras 101dvd. I was dissapointed with the quality as it is cheaply made considering I paid almost £25 for it.
