I have tried the older style brass x pole and i couldn’t get any grip on it. I find the chrome fine anyway, stainless steel is good too.

I got straight edge first and found my balance, i was then able to split into aysha from this whilst still keeping balance. This was with classic grip, with strong hand low. I can also do aysha tg with strong hand high, and forearm grip aysha too. Elbow grip scares me too much. For balance in straight edge we call it a banana because thats what your body shape looks like.

I am 36 and i teach, as well as attend classes,to be honest i would not want to attend classses targetted 30 or 40 + as feel that this would make me feel old! I am always told i don’t look my age and i don’t struggle with anything.

Cat is in UK currently and i had a play with her and her PoleAria last night, it was rigged to x poles top loaders. ÃŒts fab, she showed me some moves and we got some pretty pictures of poses like x ankle release with silks laying across body. Will share later, does anyone know if lil minx are selling the silks as part of the package or just fittings, am gonna have it for christmas 🙂

My trouble with this move is getting the pole in the right place on the torso, i feel this is key.

I have all 4, i like the floorwork one best have picked up lots already. The music is really good, my kinda music. The stretching and splits dvds are good but i don’t have much time to do them. Anyone else think Alethea looks beefed up on her new dvds?

I hadn’t finished, is not a criticism but merely an observation, I am more of a dancey person, prefering the style of Alethea Austin, floorwork.

Slightly different angle on the subject but ì feel that pole may be veering towards a less dancy phase. Looking at Sarah Scotts winning performance for Miss PD UK and a lot of the more recent pole vids I am seeing on YT. I see more strength moves (pole fitness) and less dancey moves

I can caterpillar climb already but have just figured it out the opposite way so caterpillar climbing down the pole, you have to bodywave the opposite way and slide legs down instead if up; its cool and different!

after 4.5 years of poling scorpio is still not a good move for me its awkward and uncomfortable as a result i don’t tend to use it much. I personally find its at its best for me when i go into it from an extended butterfly and i really sweep the leg round. Gemini on the other hand was fine from the start. Many polers seem to hsve either one or the other.
