https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_smile.gif Nice…you are really close…I have been so out of the pole lately loop with life and work – I haven’t even gotten around to taking pics – let alone actually really work on my stretching.

Must make that a true priority in 2010!

Were are you located and I can help you find a teacher in that area…also backhand springs should only be attempted with someone spotting you – if you can’t already do them on your own please have a competent spotter.

Heart and Pole is doing this…

A Moulin Rouge Christmas Fete-The Heart & Pole Christmas Party mailto:trina@heartandpole.com

"We’re holding our Christmas Open House this year at Jody Domingue’s gorgeous photography studio in Hollywood. It’s a swanky location on Melrose that is perfect for a swinging pole party kinda party!

Jody is a well-known celebrity photographer and she’ll be shooting all night, capturing you on the photo booth wall or back in the harem room. The pole will be up for play and we’ll also have sexy toys courtesy of Freddy and Eddy. There will also be a professional make-up artist on hand to make you camera-ready!

It’s a pot-luck so please bring an appetizer or main dish. I’ll supply the wine and desserts!

The theme is Moulin Rouge. The costume being suggested is a corset, short black skirt and fishnet stockings. We can dress you up further once you get there with our boas, fans, hats, bustles, gloves, etc. Of course, you can always just come as you are, but with the opportunity to get some professional shots taken, why not dress up?

This is an open event, and you may bring your friends.

When: Saturday, December 12 from 7-11pm
Where: Jody Domingue Photography Studio, 5770 Melrose, LA 90038
RSVP: Dude, seriously, don’t just show up. I have to buy food, so RSVP by email or find the event on my Facebook wall.

You’ll find a sample of the genius of Jody Domingue in my new headshot below (as well as the make-up artist Esther too!)"

I did gymnastics from age 3 through college…everything everyone said here about finding a new coach/gym is correct – I would just add that when you are looking try if possible to find a class where everyone is at the same level – a beginner course.

By taking a class where everyone is a beginner you will learn/progress together. It also means the teacher/coach is geared towards focusing on beginners and building beginning skills. Trust me this will make for a better experience all around https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_biggrin.gif

Haha I am so behind in the challenges…

I should decorate my pole in little white lights…but not use it and do floor work…while dressed up in a Halloween costume…dancing to a MJ song https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_santa.gif

Hey Chemmy good thread! – I will take mine tonight when I get home https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_smile.gif

I used to have my right leg no problem…my left leg was always REALLY bad and I could do the middle for a nano second when I was still training. Honestly now I don’t think I will EVER get my left leg and my middle split chances are pretty iffy BUT I might be able to get my right leg back if I really work at it.

Even if I could get back just my right leg I would be ecstatic!!!
