Hmmm how tall are you? My first pole room had ceiling that were just under 8 ft. I’m 5′ 8". When I wore heels and extended my arms, I could almost touch the top of the pole. So I could do cartwheels, caterpillars and straight edges BUT I could only caterpillar down, and my hand place meant on the cartwheel/handspring was super low. I kicked the ceiling A LOT. I even had a piece of ceiling fly into my eye because I hit the ceiling https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_cyclops_ani.gif! Its annoying but unless your super tall it can be done, just adjust everything so your hand placement its lower. Combos can be tough on a short pole. You could work on a the shoulder mount into superman, then you would be high on the pole, and you could work on the fall into scorpio! Good luck and don’t hit your feet on the ceiling too much. https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_biggrin.gif You could also work on spin mode to, it would give you something new to focus on and you don’t need as much space for that. https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_flower.gif

I was cracking up watching her because that’s how I feel sometimes when I see good dancing, it gives me chills. her "In the Garden" routine from last year was one of those dances…if you missed it you should youtube it!
I get chills and all teary eyed….I’m not sad, just so moved and that’s how it comes out! https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_lol.gif "oh that was amazing and lovely" boo hoo hoo! hehe -
In my lessons I teach using the inside leg as my pushing(momentum) leg. BUT I have also used my outside leg as the pushing leg, I would try it both ways and see what feels best to you! https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_flower.gif

I have seen Veena’s lesson! But… I still can’t stay on the pole! I’am falling down https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_sad.gif
I am not sur about which parts should press the pole …The armpit of the knee (so behind the knee
your stomach (side of torso and somewhat along the front too) this is why its best to learn it with as much skin showing as possible
and under your armpit https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_flower.gif

You cannot tighten loose skin BUT…. what I’m saying IS… it might not be just loose skin. I was hell bent on saying that I had all this loose skin, and was doomed. I mean I’m not a big person so I figured thats what it had to be! I still have some loose skin, BUT because I have lost body fat around my middle, and have learned to hold my abs in a way that makes it tight, it looks almost normal (until I bend over, then its all wrinkles and rolls.) https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_lol.gif I do believe its possible for skins elasticity to recover to some degree. I was really stretch out with my 3rd baby, it took over a year for me to look like I did 5 months after Henry #4. It can take years for skin to go back, and by go back I don’t mean to the original pre baby, but I’m saying I know first hand the skin can get better!! https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_cheers.gif I would hate for you to spend a ton of money on a procedure when it might only be a matter of time. Stress like losing your father is huge…just give yourself more time. https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_flower.gif

I usually tell ladies to start with basic strength train moves then work on transition and spins. When performing spins or inverts always keep your shoulders back and down, this will prevent you from "hanging" from your arm. You want to be sure to engage your muscles and not hang. I would look into lessons https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_flower.gif

Ok nobody stone me! I am a firm believer in exercise and diet. Its the hardest, slowest way, BUT its safe and will extend your life and make your daily tasks easier and more enjoyable. I can totally understand the boob job thing, after nursing 4 babies…ugh, they are little and saggy, I didn’t even know that was possible. https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_scratch.gif anyway, I’m glad I don’t have implants now though. When I was breast feeding and poling a few months back, my boobs did get in the way. I’m very glad they have deflated back down to their AA size. Too bad clothes don’t fit me right, I could use some boobs for that! Now back to the exercise, you can see amazing results with proper diet and exercise…I’m not saying do a fad "diet", stay away from these, they tend to leave out important food groups. Everyone is always their worst critic. Your stomach might never be like it was before baby, BUT with proper training you can learn how to hold it in and make it look good when you want to…thats what I do! Models don’t look like models all the time either, there are tricks. I’m always shocked to see how I look on my vids, cuz thats not what I look like during the day. https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_eek.gif Unless others are around… SUCK IT IN VEENA, SUCK IT IN hehe I’m a fit girl with a pooch…oh well, this body gave life to 4 babies….we give life!!! Abs are heavily used in pole dance and I cringe at the thought of what limitations a tummy tuck might leave you with. It can take a long time for extra skin to go away, but once a woman looses fat around the midsection they tend to realize it wasn’t all just skin, it was also fat. Most Woman tend to hold body weight around the middle, even the naturally thin. Tummy fat is usually, not always, but usually the LAST to disappear. https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_rolleyes.gif When I get a chance I might just have to make a video showing the tricks I’ve taught myself to use when taking pictures or videos. As I sit here and type my stomach is hanging out over my pants! lol. Your a beautiful woman and I’m glad you are part of the studio veena family….we all care about each other, that means you too girly!!!!! https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_flower.gifGive this some good long thought. *hugs*

One more thing keep ANYTHING that is abrasive AWAY from your X pole….Chrome, and the TG are different than Stainless!!!!! The acetone nail polish remover, would work good to clean all the gunk off the pole that comes from packing and shipping, threads and all, otherwise, rubbing alcohol, windex, vodka and a soft cloth is great for pole practice sessions.

Breaking in a pole is really only for Stainless steel. If you have an X you don’t need to do anything to it other than clean it! https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_flower.gif

awwww guys, I had thought of this a while back……its way to labor intensive RIGHT NOW for webmaster. I know it might sound simple but this site in itself is the works of a mad genius https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_ugeek.gif I hope that someday in the future we could have that option, but for now we will have to come up with a different way to find each other. Maybe we could have a section in the forum?? I really would like for everyone to find each other, so any other thoughts are welcomed. https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_biggrin.gif
