The only negative I could see might be what others would say if she told them, and I don’t think you should tell her to keep it a secret either. She would have to be ok with their possible comments. Then again kids can make fun of any activity a teen participates in, like band or even cheerleading. If your worried about her getting to sexy on the pole….well she could go do inappropriate dance moves with out a pole so, I wouldn’t worry about that. If she is interested if pole then great, https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_cheers.gif don’t worry about it too much, take it one step at a time.

If it is asbestos and you want to remove some of it, you really should have a pro do it. I would be unsafe to try to remove it yourself.

If they don’t see you struggle it looks too easy. https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_lol.gif I bet the video wasn’t all that bad either, we are always our worst critic. https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_geek.gif
Honestly, I don’t like to practice around my hubby either. https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_safesex.gif https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_safesex.gif https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_safesex.gif

Awww Sascha, I hate to see you sad. If dance is something you really want to do then DON’T give up!! Watch videos of yourself, so you’ll know what to work on, practice, practice! Don’t ever let someone tell you you can’t do something or your not good enough. So what if your not "the best" in the troupe….do you love what you do? That’s all that matters. Your never going to please everyone, but you have something about you,I love to watch you perform. Remember they DID pick you. I wish I could give you tips for memorizing choreography, but I SUCK at that. When I took those hip hop classes, I found that the more worried and nervous I was the harder it was to learn and remember. I had to tell myself to relax. The fist time I took that class I nearly cried (no joke) everyone in the class seemed to know exactly what was going on,I couldn’t remember diddly squat. https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_scratch.gif LOL If this is something you have a passion for then don’t let yourself get discouraged. https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_geek.gif

There are tons of beginner dancers on here, some don’t even have a pole yet! You could go through the new users section of the forum, (a lot of them are beginners) you might see someone you think you’ll get along with…. send them an email https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_sunny.gif We all think its great when beginners post vids, then we can help them and watch them grow! https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_cheers.gif

Thats a great idea, to find some online buddies. If you have a web cam you can always set a time to meet others in the chat room and pole together with your cams on! https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_idea.gif

I have only used spin on the X, but I have heard its quite spinny, compared to other poles. When using spin mode, you want to think of giving just a little push with your foot before you place your self on the pole. So yes, you can control the amount of spin depending on how hard you push off and how hard or fast you move your arms and legs into position. The more you swing your arms and legs the faster you will go. The closer you bring your body to the pole the faster it will go. So if your looking to slow down your spin, then having really well controlled inverts will be helpful, that way you can choose how fast you go. https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_shaking2.gif https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_compress.gif
