Yippy! Work on the split first, Because your legs are in a V it requires less balance than legs straight up. If you do try a true straight edge….be sure your not arching your back, you don’t want to tip backwards. https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_geek.gif Oh and the farther away from the pole your hips are the harder, so its fine to keep them close until you get stronger and better balanced.

Great job, yes spin mode takes a lot of control….I’m still working on it myself. https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_puke_r.gif https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_puke_r.gif

Yes, sissy lower down is right, that way your farther away from your pole. https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_sunny.gif
Yeah, blackeyed the RG should NOT be taught as a beginner move. https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_wink.gif

Arching your back can help, but making sure your not starting off too close to the pole can help a lot. You want a hips width distance or even a tad more, if your holding up real high on the pole you’ll smash into the pole. https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_rambo.gif

If its just sore and not painful I’m sure you’ll be fine. https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_cool.gif If your still worried about it the next day talk to your DR. This spin is an advanced spin because It requires a lot of strength and good form. I would recommend working on pole climbs and other moves to help strengthen your shoulders for this spin, many ladies have injured themselves working on this spin too soon. I have placed this move under the intermediate category in my online lessons. Just because its a spin instructors teach it as a beginner move and student think they should be able to do it right away. Not true. I haven’t see you try the spin so I can’t tell you if your ready for it, but please be careful, shoulders are tricky things treat them well. Always hold them back and down when poling, never hang from the arm. https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_flower.gif Hope you feel better tomorrow https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_sunny.gif

Learning on spin first, can make it harder to learn on static later….can but not necessarily. You can developed habits, using spin mode because it requires you to turn into the pole a lot (but not always) and then climb or get into a position. Soooo the problem that some run into is when trying static spins they have a habit of turning into the pole first and that can cause problems in proper technique for some static spins. One is not harder or better than the other but the technique is different. I think static is a better work out, if burning calories is what a person wants to do, because you need to use your body for momentum on static. Spin is more about holding the pose properly….which is also a challenge! https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_flower.gif https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_flower.gif

Its great to have you with us!! My youngest is now 9 months and love to hold the pole and lick it ewwww or sometimes he’ll sit and look down at the X pole bottom (because its shiny) and babble to the baby down there. Welcome https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_cheers.gif

Veena, so your body should be off to the same side as your higher hand?
Yes, if you doing the forearm grip that can make a big difference for you to feel more stable. So.. your not trying to do the forearm grip with your arm directly in front of you body line but to the side. Does that make sense? https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_biggrin.gif
