If you have the lessons I cover the forearm and elbow grip, with a close up view. here http://ver3.studioveena.com/lessons/view/2446
A common mistake with the forearm grip is, not tucking the pole into the elbow pit, even though its a forearm grip you will get a better hold if you place that elbow around the pole. https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_flower.gif -
Damn, that’s cool, but…is there a time limit? 2 minutes? 3 min? this is gonna be hard. lol
This is a challenge so lets say at least 60 seconds!! But a whole song would be a real challenge, pick a short one. LOL Remember beginners can go as long as possible and upload it as clips.

Don’t forget you could wear boots to help keep you up with less effort. https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_thumright.gif

When someone sends you an email you should get a notification in your regular inbox and here. There is an option for the sender to send only to the site so if they choose that then you wouldn’t get a notification in your regular mail box. You may want to check your spam box to see if emails are ending up in there. https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_flower.gif

Have you checked to see if you can find a stud/joist?? Have you tried the knocking method? If your ceiling is plaster a stud finder wont work right, so you will have to knock. If your positive there are no joists then you can’t install a pole. YOu have to have a beam/stud/joist to place a pole under. https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_cyclops_ani.gif

Hmm you have intrigued me, I’m not 100% sure on the descending part but I wanna give it a go. What would the ending position look like?

No, I don’t do this grip. I’m not injured anymore….the bicep injury was due to a fall I took (10 months ago) while carrying Henry in his car seat….I had the handle over my left arm and step off our garage steps onto one of my boys scooters. I knew I was falling so without thinking I lifted the seat straight up (about 30 to 40 pounds) I didn’t want my baby to fall and hit the ground!! Pretty sure I tore my biceps tendon. I just kinda shook it off and went about my life. I should NOT have done that…at the time I didn’t know I had injured myself so badly. Next day I went to a fitness convention and did a bunch of stuff I should not have done with my arm. I did let it rest after that but not long enough. The problem came back when I started to do twisted grip moves, it was too much for my arm at that point. I still will not do them. I saw drs and nothing helped so I did my own rehab and it worked wonderfully. I still keep the split grips to a minimum but its no longer a problem https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_cheers.gif If you wanna see my blogging about the injury you can if you go to my page. https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_flower.gif

Thats great you got it figured out! Tantric_Limpet’s advice on the hex key was something I had never thought of!! https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_cheers.gif Sounds like your pole is working just fine now, when on spin it wont turn on its own, like if you turn it by hand it wont just spin and spin, but it shouldn’t catch, if its catching then its too tight, and if you feel like its spinning forever when your on, thats the way it should feel…nice and smooth! https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_geek.gif https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_puke_l.gif

Yep everything Rubi mentioned is right. All lessons are in order and I also tell you in the lessons what you should be working on before you try that particular lesson. I will also have routines and many others, lessons are being added daily. Everything from stretching to strength training, with and without your pole. https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_sunny.gif

Something else you can check….make sure your not too close to your pole when your leading into your spin. A hip widths distance away is good, sometimes more depending on the spin. You’ll get it. https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_flower.gif
