Hi everyone had some great suggestions! Its always a good idea to try other finishes if you can. My favorite finish in the Titanium gold. I do like brass but not the smell it leaves on you. If you want super grip you can try a powder coated pole too. We sell x pole here if your interested. https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_wink.gifhttps://www.studioveena.com/shopping

Our bodies need time to recover. For those taking the lessons here is the Getting Started Lesson explaining how to use the stretching section. There is also a lot of good info in the description of this video. It also covers the difference between stretching and flexiblity training. https://www.studioveena.com/lessons/view/4dd66731-eab0-4b4a-aa13-41ad0ac37250
Foam rolling can be your best friend when you are sore, I foam roll each muscle group before I train that particular area for flexibility.

Hi there! I use to be that sickly girl who couldn’t climb on monkey bars!! It gets better!!! It’s also very normal to go through ups and downs with your pole journey. Everyone progresses at their own rate, be sure to start with strength training first. This will give you a better foundation for working on spins and pole moves. Xoxo

Everyone had great advice! Don't feel discouraged. If your looking for things you can do at home to improve strength I do have pole strength lessons and a Pole Strength Routine. Its a great workout and helps you build the necessary strength needed for pole. Give yourself time you'll get there! https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_heart1.gif

Looks like maybe a new thread is needed so we don't go off topic! I'm guessing others might have thoughts on this too. https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_cheers.gifIts fun to think about the perfect dance chair.
-
@ Platinum Stages…Hmm that's a thought! I use 2 chairs, both are folding chairs and one is smooth the other is textured.
I use each for different things depending on if I need grip or slip for a dance https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_wink.gif Purple is always my favorite color. I like the folding chair because it's light enough so I can slide it or pick it up to spin it, but yet sturdy enough that I feel like I can balance. So those are things I look for in a chair.
