AdministratorDecember 16, 2011 at 1:50 pm in reply to: New here (sort of), have some questionsDon't buy a party pole. They are toy like poles only to be used for "fun". Like sparrow mentioned I would go with X pole, Platinum Stages or Lil mynx. Good luck with your poling!! https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_cheers.gif

Hello and welcome!! I would look into your ceiling situation it sounds like at this point working on your own may be helpful for you. If the ceiling has tiles on it usually you can remove one or two and put up your pole on the supports underneath. https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_flower.gif

For home polers I always suggest the 45mm. If someone is interested in competing then I suggest they work on as many sizes and finishes as they can. But for fun and fitness I think 45 is the best bet. https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_santa.gif

AdministratorDecember 12, 2011 at 3:14 pm in reply to: Xpole Titanium Gold VS lil Mynx Powder CoatPodzhi one thing to keep in mind….when dancing on the studio poles you and your pole are probably nice an warmed up if your taking a class. If you try dancing on a cold pole you'll slip. A lot of home polers forget to warm up their bodies and their poles. So before you feel you need to invest in another pole make sure your nice and warmed up and the pole is too. This may not be the problem but I thought I would mention it. https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_flower.gif

If your taking the lessons I cover the difference between Stretching and Flexibility training in this lesson https://www.studioveena.com/lessons/view/4dd66731-eab0-4b4a-aa13-41ad0ac37250.
Flexibility training is used to improve and increase flexibility. Stretching is used to maintain, and should be done after strength training, with the focus on stretching the muscles used. This should only take a few mins and it can be done daily. Flexibility training is much more involved and intense. I strongly feel you should not train everyday. Flexibility takes TIME
