I would try working the smaller muscle groups of the glutes and pelvis. These are all good for that: Hip lifts (seated not standing with correct posture) V sit compressions, pike compressions, booty squeeze, clamshell. All found here https://www.studioveena.com/lessons/view_category/b7051e94-30fb-102d-80ae-003048b8feb1/sort

I would also suggest the flowmotion routine here as well.

PS I can’t do an eagle at the moment as I’ve not been training it, I really have to stay on it as my back isn’t naturally flexy. I can hardly grab my foot right now. Too much time working on lessons and not enough training 🙂

Everyone’s body is different and for some locking out isn’t a big deal but others it is. What did your doctor and PT say? The big problem can come from those who try to hyperextend without having the natural length. However, over time some say it will cause damage, but I’ve heard others state it’s ok. Anyway if this is a concern there are exercises that can be done to retrain to “limit” and retrain the movement. Here’s an example https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bwlL0PQs29g

You sound a lot like me, my hips are very open, always have been and things like splits no problem. Tell me to bend over and touch my toes or pull my leg up behind me, now that’s taken a LOT of work! I focused a lot on training the core including the pelvis. Have you tried using any of the glute strength exercises here, flowmotion stretches or done the back mobility routine here?

It would make sense that having pelvic issues these movements would be challenging.

Something else you might want to try is hypnosis or some kind of mental training. Our bodies can be tricked into being stuck or unstuck in movement patterns etc.

Thank you to all who participated! However, I will not be creating any new challenges.

Feel free to go through the old challenges and give those a try.

Many times… well, my husband has! Most companies will offer a vaulted ceiling mount. The best option is the one you can afford. Check out xpole, lupit, platinum stages and lil mynx. I’ve used all of them but lupits vaulted/slopped ceiling mount.

To install a vaulted ceiling mount you’ll find the joist/stud just like you would when using a pressure mounted or flat mount. Follow the instructions they give and of course make sure you have a ladder.

Dooo it! I’ve covered carpet floors with plywood then vinyl or laminate flooring and it works so well. Not all vinyl is the same finish some has more texture so if you can tell from the description that it’s smooth, go for it. Pretty much anything will be better than a garage floor!

Hi! I give you tips for what to do next at the end of your 30 program.

Things you could do: Work on the 30 flexibility program as Dusty Rose mentioned.

Try some of the VIP programs https://www.studioveena.com/forums/view/_Veenas_Inspiring_Plans__VIP___20200430050239

Work on the routines I have.

Try going through the beginner lessons from the start. Meaning start with the first lesson listed in beginner, all lessons are in order so feel free to give that a try.

Thing to remember always warm up, keep attempts at new moves under 10 times, stretch your forearms after every session, track your progress and keep a day of rest between workouts.

So happy your grip issue is over!

Yes, your skin will get use to it…actually you’re brain and body will start to learn how to adjust your position and grip so it will not be as bad. This is very common with PC, brass and silicone. You don’t have the luxury of sliding into place like on chrome.

Thought this might be helpful! If you’d like to post your videos to SV and have film on a phone or tablet that was vertical…don’t edit it as wide/horizontal. Keep the vertical dimensions then viewers can select full screen and the video will be BIG/FULL SCREEN instead of small and horizonal. If you edit it as a horizontal video it will look really little as our website like YT will make you turn the phone because it’s uploaded as horizontal but film vertical. If you film vertical (like I do now with all my videos) don’t change the dimensions 😁

Once you are cleared to start training again work on this routine, it’s got a bunch on stretches and strength work that will help prevent this. https://www.studioveena.com/lessons/view/5e7506d9-4224-4491-8439-4bc4ac110005
