Oh, I Love mine. It was a surprise gift from my husband last year and it’s been really nice.

I have one! That’s a good mommy question. It not super easy to lift and unlock. You lift then turn while having to hold it up, holding it up takes some strength of the hand as it automatically wants to push back down before you twist. I’m not sure a toddler could lift and twist with the dexterity needed. It took me a bit to work it out hahahaha
My kids are all to old to test it on!

Ashi I hope you stay healthy and can find the time! Strangefox, I think time off can help. Absents makes the heart grow fonder.
I haven’t had a good workout for over a week now. I was doing so well….oh life how you get in the way of my goals!!

Always nice to see you here! 💜

In fact back in the day we would get comments here to sand your pole. Though I’m guessing it was more for stainless steel as that and brass were the main finish when pole first became popular. I would not sand a chrome pole.

Nyxed that sucks, hope you feel 💯 soon!!!
Strangefox, I totally get that feeling, it will be ok though.
I’m traveling again, but brought some resistance bands withs me….we’ll see if I use them 😂 I bring them with good intentions and rarely do.

This is a super common issue, recently a member on a different thread mentioned Carpe lotion being helpful for sweaty hands. https://www.google.com/search?client=firefox-b-1-d&q=carpe+lotion

Today I went for a 4 1/2 mile hike with a 1000 ft elevation increase. â›°ï¸ðŸ¥¾

Focused on chest and back today then did a tiny bit of pole dance exotic work.
I’m tired today…💤💤💤

I got a quick workout in yesterday but took today off 😊.
Yesterday’s focus was handspring/cartwheel practice and working on new ways to teach bass monkey.

How fun Nyxed! I danced this morning…felt down so dancing to a few songs was all I could do.

Got a nice hike in today. Had my in-laws in town all weekend and now my sister and her husband will be staying with us for a week!
Anyone else getting workouts in?

I can see how frustrating that would be and it sounds like a contract might be the way to go. I’m not super business minded when it comes to contracts but Webmaster might have some ideas.
If you haven’t already, make sure she is teaching in a way that allows first time pole dancers to have fun and do it in a safe way. Would be worth asking if you can attend a class so you can make sure she is teaching in a way that you want your facility to be represented.
If you’re not sure what is appropriate for beginners feel free to take a look at the lessons here, they are in order 🙂

Got a short workout in. Did some push ups, pull ups and abs. Then I filmed a beginner routine. I worry I’m getting sick though…not feeling 💯

Back home from ND and managed a quick workout this morning! I did some shoulder conditioning and little bit of legs and core.

I wish I had some helpful information for you. I don’t know what would work well for sweaty and chapped hands. Hopefully someone else will!

Having the strength to pull up a bit once inverted will allow you to get the legs up over the hands. Using controlled moment can help. Making sure your hands aren’t placed too low can help as well.
If you haven’t already try the 30 day invert program. Also take a look at these lessons for more tips

Sweaty hands is a big problem for a lot of new dancers. Sometimes it goes away once your out of a group setting and feel more comfortable. Other times you might find you need to invest in some grip aid. Use ok one like Right grip or dry hands for sweat.
As for pole size Pixie gave a good description of both sizes. There are several hand and wrist strength exercises you can do as well. Find them in the conditioning section of the lessons. 😊
