Seems to be a good way to give your body time to adjust. https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_puke_r.gif

If you wanna go bare foot you’ll just have to wait until your body gets use to the new pressures put on it. As you progress and become comfortable with moves you wont have the bruising anymore. If you want to try a sock you could but then you wont have the ability to grip. If you do wanna give your feet a break try buying some sexy heels that have the plastic, shiny, appearance or boots. These will cut down on bruising and help you stick too, just be sure they’re made out of that shiny plastic like stuff (I forget the name) https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_rolleyes.gifand not matt leather, leather wont stick to the pole as well. https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_biggrin.gif

Welcome! https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_cheers.gif https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_cheers.gif I have some great new lessons I’m adding and they include strength work you can do with your pole! https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_cheers.gif Classes are always a good thing to look into, check around and see if there is a reputable studio near you, be sure they focus on proper form and safety. Using the online lessons for a refresher in between classes is a great way to progress. https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_sunny.gif

Cool I have never seen that before! If you look close you’ll see she is using the Twisted grip to move into the aysha…so you will need to have the flexibility in your body to twist into the TG position from the CAR/ fallen angle and you will need to be comfortable with your twisted grip. Be careful with its move, if your wrist, elbow, or shoulder have discomfort don’t do it.

lol its back…..the site is just getting to damn popular!!! Time to get that new server. https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_sunny.gif

awwww that sucks, I hope you don’t have to have surgery. I can’t imagine how a foot problem would affect your life and pole dancing too! All these things we take for granted….I hope they can get it figured out for you. Have you looked into some alternative medicine? If you do have to have the surgery we can do a pole challenge where you have to stay up on your pole and can’t touch the ground, just for you. https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_geek.gif

sounds fun..i’ve never done a challenge b/c i’m fairly new to the site, but when do you submit the challenge videos? on a specific day or any day of the month?
post your video anytime….you can even do old challenges, when ever. Just be sure to label it with the month and challenge so it will show up with all the other challenge vids. https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_flower.gif -

By "poses" do you mean ones that are done up on the pole after climbing, or can they be on the floor, or whatever? Or maybe a beginning pose, to start your dance off with?
I would say a pose is done from on the ground….but thats just me, anyone else have any thoughts on this? https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_question.gif if it were up on the pole I would call it a hold.

I’m not sure if I’ll put the move of the month in the challenge or not…but we will be doing a move of the month. https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_cheers.gif

Maybe your over thinking it? Have you tried just dancing around to some great music, and giving it a try here and there, not focusing on if you get it? I know this has happened to me, I over think something and then I just make it harder!! https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_evil.gif It will come to you. https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_flower.gif

Yippy!! I have done that before….now to make sure I haven’t over tightened my poles I always put the pole on spin and turn it with my hands…if its not smooth I know its too tight. I’m glad its all better https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_cheers.gif

LOL guys don’t worry your not weird or anything…everyone will have a little different experience with the different metals. It all depend on skin type, climate where you live and your strength and pole experience. You’ll get use to it. This article might help if you haven’t already seen it. https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_geek.gif https://www.studioveena.com/info/2009/05/19/the-temperamental-pole/
