awwww that sucks, I hope you don’t have to have surgery. I can’t imagine how a foot problem would affect your life and pole dancing too! All these things we take for granted….I hope they can get it figured out for you. Have you looked into some alternative medicine? If you do have to have the surgery we can do a pole challenge where you have to stay up on your pole and can’t touch the ground, just for you. https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_geek.gif

sounds fun..i’ve never done a challenge b/c i’m fairly new to the site, but when do you submit the challenge videos? on a specific day or any day of the month?
post your video anytime….you can even do old challenges, when ever. Just be sure to label it with the month and challenge so it will show up with all the other challenge vids. https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_flower.gif -

By "poses" do you mean ones that are done up on the pole after climbing, or can they be on the floor, or whatever? Or maybe a beginning pose, to start your dance off with?
I would say a pose is done from on the ground….but thats just me, anyone else have any thoughts on this? https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_question.gif if it were up on the pole I would call it a hold.

I’m not sure if I’ll put the move of the month in the challenge or not…but we will be doing a move of the month. https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_cheers.gif

Maybe your over thinking it? Have you tried just dancing around to some great music, and giving it a try here and there, not focusing on if you get it? I know this has happened to me, I over think something and then I just make it harder!! https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_evil.gif It will come to you. https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_flower.gif

Yippy!! I have done that before….now to make sure I haven’t over tightened my poles I always put the pole on spin and turn it with my hands…if its not smooth I know its too tight. I’m glad its all better https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_cheers.gif

LOL guys don’t worry your not weird or anything…everyone will have a little different experience with the different metals. It all depend on skin type, climate where you live and your strength and pole experience. You’ll get use to it. This article might help if you haven’t already seen it. https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_geek.gif https://www.studioveena.com/info/2009/05/19/the-temperamental-pole/

The deathlay isn’t as scary as it sounds….you just need a good SM into pike hip hold (like your going into a superman) Keep the SM up as high as you can and use the back of…well EVERYTHING… https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_lol.gif on your body to press against the ceiling. Please be SUPER careful if you do this on your X pole, I don’t really ever do it because the top piece on the X, is just not reliable to grab onto. Don’t use that top cover at all!!!
-
You should have called X pole……If the owner before over tightened them there is nothing you can do a stripped screw is a prob….you could see if replacing the little screws would fix it, if your lucky maybe the inside is still fine.
=( sadly, yeah still moving. Actually the most recent time I tried the one problematic screw finally gave way on tightening and now slips meaning its definitely stripped somewhere in there. It’s just a little give so I’m not worried about it being unsafe to practice on but I don’t like it one bit. https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_evil.gif -
I’m sure there will be some SV ladies there, We have a lot on the site from there. I wish I could go. https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_sad.gif

If you over tighten your pole this can https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_flower.gif happen…..
-
Azriel is right, line it up with the X and make sure they’re in tight. This is not normal, if you still have troubles call X pole and explain it to them, they can give you some more tips and help you out. https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_cheers.gif

First your not backwards, there are others that have started on spinny first. https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_wink.gif If you interested in learning how to gain momentum in your spins on static mode, I give you the proper technique for that in the online lessons here. It takes some getting use to, when you have started on spinny first, but you can do it. A lot of spinny hold have you turn your body into the pole and then hold the move…well on static you have to keep moving forward and learn to use your legs and whole body to send you flying. https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_biggrin.gif
