The X poles on here are REAL….you can call X pole to verify if you want. It would be silly for me to be making post warning about fake X poles and the sell them my self. https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_lol.gif https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_lol.gif
My online lessons will give you a proper warm up, cool down, Strength move to do BEFORE you begin to pole and moves from beginner to advance….all in order of level of difficultly. https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_cheers.gif -
Does anyone know what they are made from….Silicon is the only thing that doesn’t bother miss vag jay jay. Rubber and latex isn’t friendly to my body. https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_ncool.gif This is cool though because I use tampons but don’t really like the thought of them.

I have heard of the cup….but what about those who have had babies?? I used the birth control ring for a short time and the thing wouldn’t stay in place, I would worry about cup slippage. LOL Is this an issue??

Welcome!!! Don’t feel like you have to be 20 to start pole dancing. I started just weeks before I turned 30, and I have no dance or gymnastic background….you can do this. Have fun with it!! https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_cheers.gif https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_cheers.gif Pole dancing moms Rock https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_rambo.gif

Yes, only on my TG not the Chrome finish…..It’s not visible like condensation, but a dehumidifier might help! https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_cheers.gif

I saw this post earlier….and I’m still thinking https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_scratch.gif …..I have the same trouble with my titanium gold pole. It gets almost sweaty when the humidity is high…we have had rain a lot lately. https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_scratch.gif https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_scratch.gif

A larger sized pole will always feel "sturdier" but I prefer my 45mm its been easier on my wrist and elbow joints. The 50mm is standard size for most studios and competitions although it seems to be slowly changing to the smaller 45mm for competitions. I still use both. https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_flower.gif

AdministratorJanuary 16, 2010 at 4:34 am in reply to: Can somebody introduce me to Superman? 😉If your top arm is too low you’ll feel like your gonna fall. If your getting into the superman via the Gemini, then moving into a split grip position with the arms, pole resting on your lower thigh, you will be able to play with the positioning of the arms before you flip over into the final position. To flip more easily think of keeping your nose to knees, this way you stay bent at the hips and can turn/flip over slower. https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_flower.gif

So glad this question came up again. I am working on this move also. The pain is in my upper back bewteen my shoulder blades. I think it may have to do with my grip as well. I’m gonna try these suggestions. Question though what is the tuck invert??
Its in the lessons. Its a good way to work on your inverted V with out opening the legs into a full V. Its also helpful for working on rolling into the inverts instead of using momentum. The tuck invert is basically done in the same manner as an inverted V but in the tuck position…knees to chest. https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_flower.gif

The veena grip is similar to the flip grip Red is showing. But your top arm isn’t bent in the Veena….its straight. The beginning half of the SM will feel a bit more difficult but one your at the top it give you great control of the move https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_cheers.gif

Heres a pIc
https://www.studioveena.com/StudioVeena" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; You do not switch the hand during mid move….I have, and you could, but thats not the point of the grip….. your low arm will be on the same side as shoulder that is resting on the pole, that elbow points forward, and is just above the head, in a cup grip. The top arm is fully extended and knuckles are facing forward, (your not using a cup) its like a Chinese forward grip but with the arm fully extended. This gives you a lot of control at the top of the shoulder mount, so its great for super inverts….Jenyne called it the Flip grip, but when I first came up with the hold, Fleur and I had never seen it so we just called it the Veena grip. https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/alien.gif
